My name is Russell
Note i don't have a Inlet air temp or WBO those figures are fixed. Wonder if its stale fuel. Or semi blocked fuel line. Temp looks to be fixed that's good. Changed dump pipe back to in-cased from screamer. no turbo zorst fin damage from back firing that's good. Anyone know what the sync / cyl error could be about? Come on with one at startup then a second i missed when happened. Sitting in escort now live IRL
My name is Russell
Still scratching my head whats wrong with this car. planting foot on gas goes smooth ish but at top end starts sputtering and backfires same under engine breaking. spark? / timing? Had a small amount of white residue on top of oil filler cap that has me little worried about head gasket, no bubbles or oil in radiator, compression is good, and even. Anyone recommend these? http://tradetools.co...roducts/3028740 (Do they work on petrol and diesel engines? presume so) When motor was turned off coolant made a few gurgling sounds which was odd, engine got up to 90 on road test then realized fan hadn't turned on and let it cool down too 60 on the fans at idle before I turned off. It does have a bit of blow by coming out the catch tank which i was told is normal? Have blown out fuel lines checking for blocks, emptied tank and getting some fresh 98 to go into it now. but not holding breath on that doing anything. Cleaned all connections with electrical cleaner but all looked fairly good.
Truenotch
Checked for vacuum / boost leaks? Could be leaning out up top and during decel. Squirt something at all the joins on the inlet manifold while it's idling and see if the tone changes at all.

QCADTA
how longs ya car been sitting? i see the link says 14.4v but give the battery a good charge and try again. had this happen before but not quite as bad as yours, battery seemed fine and car started and alternator was putting out 14.4V, but needed a night on the charger to bring it right. also had this on a pinto race engine, i know its not efi, but as the revs reached top end it would miss and fart as the battery wasnt giving the coil quite enough volts to keep her happy but ran fine up til top end, just a random thought. My name is Russell
Think its sorted, seems like it had stale fuel, or a fuel block. Smooth as butter again.

My name is Russell
You would need to do a fair bit of steel work to fit them. no point fitting them if you arn't going to chop out and re do rear guards/tub. then you may as well throw in some turrets then you may as well notch the rail
