lowlancer Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 So lost my keys some stage the night of my 21st 4 months ago, twas a result of doing my yardy and not spewing=chopped Have decided to do something about it, as it won't be long till I need to turn some keys to get the Celeste started. What are my options? I know i can get all new locks and barrel with new keys, but that = mega spendy. If I have to I will. Any bright ideas? Raizer Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 Normally you should be able to take the lock out of your drivers door, take it to a locksmith and they can cut a key from a code stamped on/cast into it. corrupt Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 yeh, i lost the keys to the mk2 scrot i have, recently went to go start it up, managed to do it with a slut cortina key and a bit of jiggling. same thing with the filler cap, used the one i have for the mk5, all good. I think they add to letters to the front of the code like TL--- or TY--- or something like that. The Locksmiths had a book with the letter codes in it.
