Defcon
I was told of a little trick by a mechy to sort out ticking tappets, Put a table spoon or 2 of ATF in the oil, and it puts a bit of preasure on them. Def'

phillip@premierauto.co.nz
sounds like the little hole is blocked and not letting the oil through, try doing a service putting in some good quality oil, if still no good top up oil with some PRO MA, lifter treatment avaliable from PDC 021892179 or we have it at work. anglebox64
if it still makes a tappy noise your hardenig on the metal face of your rocker has gone would need replacing as the same for 2ltr pintos the rockers wear out and need new ones

Hemi
ahh hydruclis lifters ...awesome but ahh crap ...lol i was putting a head back together and craked 2 of the lifters ...my bad when re-building and engine makes sure none of the pistons are at tdc
Ned
mix 4 parts oil, and 1 part saw-dust. put in engine, no more noise!!! note; i will not take any responability for any engine dying after putting this mixture into either engine, or gearbox (works in both) testing has shown that engines generally do not live for more then 20 minutes! if they go at all. great for when you wanna sell your car or bike
