Willdat's this wasn't supposed to be a project Honda Beagle

I think this Beagle is the tallest car on adjustable suspension ever, rear springs are only just captive at this height, fronts are wound as high as I can get them. Still better than it was before! -

This is relevant to my interests, but I still can't come My first OS meet was in Kaikoura - rode my RMX50 from Nelson there and back. Miss that bike, my CL50 is cuter but not as fun. -

Fitted Konis tonight, like @chris r said they bolted straight up, in fact I've had more trouble with bike tyres than I had swapping suspension over - it actually would almost be worth swapping them in and out each WOF if you were that way inclined. I've only done a lap around the block with all 4 shocks wound all the way to firm, felt hilarious, definitely less body roll. Height wise the rears look like I can get about stock + or - 50 mm in height. Fronts are hopefully capable of the same. Really need some C spanners to have a proper play. edit: Figured out I had them wound all the way to soft, crikey, slammed on firm is going to be interesting. C-Spanners are on the way. -

Will have to see if a 13" wheel has any issues, have any in stock to check clearances? Even an Imp wheel should give me an indication as they're 4x4" instead of 4x100 eh? If I can make it work I'll definitely take them! -

Beagle has 15s...I would be super keen on a second set of wheels, what size are they? I'm pretty sure even 13s would clear the huge brakes the Beagle has. -

It's the same paddock as Marahau Nats! Cool to have the drone footage so you can see the overall layout. I had an issue with gearing, the DOHC ZC doesn't really have the torque to pull second gear (at the speed I'm travelling!) at the exit of each of the esses as my lines aren't clean enough. A better driver would be getting pretty close to the event winners I reckon. The Starlet in second place is still K series powered - that guy can drive! -

Beagle did well, typical video edit in that it shows me almost spinning out, at least it wasn't going over the two cones, beat the student by 12 seconds, whew! -

So another year, another 2 WOFs and the Beagle is still going well, probably less economical than it should be (~10L/100km) but not really bothered. My pile of parts will be delved into once I get the family wagon back from Alex Stainless 4>2>1 Extractors Koni Adjustable Shocks S2000 Seats Energy Bush Set It'll be then ready for Cert in time for next WOF - or that's the theory. Going racing again tomorrow, just have to beat a student in an RS200 Altezza to make the day a success... -
I'm a secondary school engineering teacher so pretty keen on telling students about the opportunities (both education and industry related) around and some personal inspiration. My background is product design but I haven't been in the real world for a number of years so keen to see where things are at/headed Yeah I imagine they will be pretty broad, Nelson has some pretty cool stuff relating to forestry and that's about it, basically no public talks relating to anything else.

Will be in Auckland from the 1st to 3rd of May, plan to attend a good chunk of the seminars, anyone I should avoid? https://www.emex.co.nz/visitor-information/seminars-2/ Hired a car so if you need a ring in for your quiz team/want someone to hold a torch while you pull lint out of your belly button, let me know.

Yup, saw it more or less complete minus batteries at Evolocity 2015 (ie about a month before the last post here.) to be honest they were all young guys 17/18 yo and life has probably got in the way.

2nd of December is EVolocity at the A&P Showground. Try and wrangle your way for a ride in a Tesla. I'm hoping I can sort accommodation for the Friday night (for 11, we're cutting it pretty fine I know!).

When kids ask what's the point of Maths, from now on I'll be able to reference you/this diagram...

I watched the videos, I was impressed that you managed not to spin! I reckon @ThePog could have done with more handbrake. PS Is he bringing guitar to Hanmer/should @scooters bring something too? I don't think the 400m would be ideal Beagle material. I'm currently saving all my pennies for suspension. Ground clearance vs handling is a conversation I'll no doubt be boring a few of you guys with in a few nights time...
