  1. Lookin good man
  2. Have failed a wof on no rear seats before, was easier to bang them in than fight it at the time. But i'm pretty sure there is nothing to say you can't take seats and belts out of the rear. The VIRM stats at the start that a drivers seat is mandatory, so maybe only need one seat. I CBF reading the whole pdf, but here it is: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/virm- ... terior.pdf
  3. Wish the Escort was close to being up for the trip, will go on that in 5 years for sure though!
  4. I have some that might do the job in hornby, if you don't end up making some you can borrow em. Two of these:
  5. Try this http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/virm- ... ml#general
  6. Yeah nice work there! Look so much better, nothing a bit of elbow grease can't fix aye
  7. Best/only right answer to that question will be given to you by Elite wheels when you take a wheel in and ask them Hard to see from the pic, but IMO not sure it would look any good. my2c $50/wheel for a polish/paint sounds sweet, will have to keep them in mind incase I cbf polishing mine with my polisher
  8. Two Bridges could be classed as in Sockburn though So both right / wrong / meh
  9. Riccarton market on a sunday has a small amount. One stall is just tools, and stock can vary at times, but usually the same stuff. Another stand often there has quite a few too.
  10. Might be a stupid rule, but its still a rule Also if you borrowed a spanner and hurt yourself on their property they would be up shit creek i'd say. Though that would be a good effort
  11. That's because its a douche thing to do I guess, theif. Since you only needed a tiny it wouldn't have taken too much brain power to work out how to make some.
  12. For the thread measurement pop into repco / supercheap and try one of them on the stands that have all the bolts etc. Often they have a board with all different thread sizes and pitches on. Not sure if they go up to that size though, so failing that pop to a friendly engineering supplies place and ask them what the specs are. Then when you know what it is trawl trademe if you want them on the cheap. Not sure on new, but I assume the same places above could source them for $$$
  13. 4x110 is pretty close to 4x114.3
  14. Could drop in and see these guys http://euroblast.co.nz/index.html Got some blast media off them and the guy knew his stuff. Probably not the cheapest around but when I was there the stuff they had done looked mint. Get what ya pay for.
  15. So long answer... how do you run cut springs legally? Are you talking cert or what? Since modifying springs in any way makes them illegal as is. Cutting or compressing. That's how I always read the rules anyway, so keen to hear how its legal / a good idea to bother cutting springs. I would always go after market / custom springs over messing around with cut springs. Each to their own demise though.
  16. If you just want some noise, i'm sure any of those will do. Just don't expect any quality. Sony is probably better
  17. Going to tag onto this thread, as it could be a good place to offer up things ya don't need for locals Anyone have any use for some tyres past their best? Roll around that project or something etc If not going in the bin, just thought i'd offer up first. Got 5, different widths/profiles etc. Just pm me within next week, chur.
  18. Just stick a curved metal file in the vice and spin the wheel on it for a while. Or if you want some exercise, stick the file through the centre hole and wheel it around filing it down as you go
  19. I thought all spacers needed a cert. And that they don't allow slip on ones now..... what's the correct answer So rolling any without a cert would be stupid really (flame away) why even bother with the cost of bolt on ones if you going to roll no cert anyway, just user washers. More than 27mm lol, buy some better suited wheels maybe?
  20. How thick? cheers, will look into that.
  21. Not a borrow as such... but doesn't need its own thread. Anyone know someone that will sell part sheets of steel? I need some 2-3mm(ish) plate 450x550mm. Want some for a welding top. Cheers.
  22. About the same price roughly. Have used the por15 with good success too. Should have local supplies on their site so you can ring them.
  23. Increase your idle speed? Haven't seen an idle that low
  24. Ah true, cheers for the heads up, $15 is cheap as, might grab a couple of those then as always handy
