I have a Chinese scoot here that could be a good donor. Guy put 70cc kit into it but couldn't get it going good enough to ride it. I found the thick isolating gasket spacer thing under the carb had a big crack/ hole do huge air leak. Only problem be that the rear wheel is a huge wide all terrain type thing. I never got it going because it's the most ugly scooter I ever seen in my life. Happy to get pics if required

God damn, time is flying. Been working on this thing! Slowly ticking off all the little things that bug me and slowly getting it ready to go out to the new shed. - washed out the gearbox with diesel. Filled with new oil. Unstuck both sliding gears on their splines shafts because they head become stuck over the past year. Took hammer and wood, lol. Removed the top cover and steering box, rebuilt steering box with new bushes. Sucked out engine oil and refilled. Changed filter to modern spin on type. Welded up the missing front lower wings. Now I need help. I have tried my hydraulics for the first time. They went up and down and up and down perfectly fine, then with less and less urgency- now they are dead as a dodo. The arm with roller and spring is fine, moves springs fine . Anyway never mind found this cutie,

And they let you remove a weld down flush with the surrounding material far easier than any traditional grinding disk or belt sander. Only bitch is when you get a disk caught and it rips off the adaptor leaving behind its plastic nubbin to dig out lol

If ur worried just smash down a layer of glass first. Ps, you watching the scrappy build? Well worth it for anyone wanting to learn how amazing cf is -

the trick is to not use scissors. They lay down masking tape over the inside face of the cut first and use a pizza cutter style tool to get perfect cuts. -

1, I had the hood laying on the lawn out of the way, he wasnt watching where he was going. 2, nope, he was nearly twice my weight LOL 3, yup, he has to bend over to get through doors. And yes, from my experience a glass part has to be considerably thicker. My suggestion is to get some glass and some cf and start playing around. You need to fool around for a bit before committing to a big part anyway. Ali express cf is great. -

I believe the main benefit is weight.l and flexibility. Cf can be extremely good at absorbing impacts, distorting and returning back to its original shape. I haven't seen a glass hood stood on by anyone, but iv seen a Cf hood stood on by a 120kg bloke and it returned to normal even tho I was convinced it was fuxked. I think is is why cf is used as crossbow limbs etc rather than glass, but open to education. -
Yup that's them. Were great to deal with.

Lack of steel in sills is likely because the roof is/was structural. Is this going to be on the road here @cletus is this possible?
-
Nah not for sale but I spoke to him ages ago about it. I reckon you have the girth.

That seems like the most unlikely item to find for sale... how many of those engines were made?

I feel really conflicted about how well pressurizing a diaphragm pump will work.. be interesting to see If the two pressures add up to equal what you need.
-
That pump controller with huge screen would be overkill in nearly ANY application lol. I vote you get it right then hide or well out of the way.

Discuss here about Yoeddynz's little Imp project...
flyingbrick replied to yoeddynz's topic in Project Discussion
Main drawback is the cost of the electric stuff when going tesla. Shit, for the cost of importing a drive unit here, batteries and control board modifications you could have someone else fit an LSA crate motor, then take the family to meccas. Leaf would be perfect for an imp! -
that thing looks GREAT, way less dorky than many of the others i've seen! (online, had a google after seeing your thread pop up) Please make it lower.

I hate those moments. Bit easier these days with smart phones etc tho! I drove up to the big TeRapa roundabout once and there was a 90's falcon drifting round and round and round the inside lane. so epic.
