I've done a fair bit of research. Most methods involve heating the surface first and then cooling the dent with something cold- dry ice or the c02 spray from an upside down can of airduster. you are right, the dry ice method does make sense when you think about it. I wonder if someone could rub dry ice on a strip of sheet metal and report back as to if the sheetmetal bends in reaction.

im pretty sure gelcoat lasts better than paint. boats are gelcoat finish for instance

fuck i can't stand it when guys deliberately mess a car up in an attempt to be cool. Fake patina or whatever it was that you were aiming for is real lame. Anyways, cool car! will look good on widened steels i reckon. Paint them something 80's like fluro pink/orange. I have no idea what im talking about. Just my opinions. They may be dumb.
