  1. Also, If it was overheating, did the PO fix radiator etc? Or just fix the bhg. My van radiator was blocked as hell. got it rodded and its happy as larry now (with a new head). And Tory is bang on the nail, Make sure the head gasket lines up with the galleries on the head. The blocks should be sweet, but the heads will have an extra coolant passage or two. That some gaskets will block. I noticed this when i had the head off my van. My old gaskets and new gasket had these different holes.
  2. Awesome dude! Check that the wiring is plugged in properly. Make sure that the neutral switch plug hasn't got mixed with something like the side stand switch plug or something. I know a lot of modern bikes have a side stand switch and you cant start or even run the bike with side stand out. So that would be a place to look. Not necessarily the correct place, but something simple to check first... hah
  3. Was just chatting with @Bistrolast night at how dope corvairs are and how i pine them. And bang, next day, this. Can't wait to see this progress. Such neat and unusual cars. Super low, with lowrider spec look will be king. Awesome car dude!
  4. I did a bit of engine bay cleaning of the S5 in the downtime. But it was actually really fun getting this going. Super glad it actually ran (not that i didn't think it would) Cherry on top was getting it drivable and doing some skids. Jeah.
  5. Not really, cos i spent the whole weekend working on this!
  6. There is one, but doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe though. Don't remember this being an issue last time I was tinkering.
  7. God fins are swoon! See if you can get your hands on a 185/50. That profile + blocks will be delish.
  8. It probably won't make a massive difference at the injector timing tbh. Think of all the batch fired injected cars. The charge will just sit in the port till its ready. Which is fuck all time. (300ms at idle if my calcs are correct). Definitely something wack with your timing. Maybe even your cam timing is off? Also, there is a little stub that sits down the dizzy hole that drives the dizzy/PI pump in the PI cars. Check that this is in and timed correctly if your crank pulley is correct. Also also, do a compression test to check if the motor is actually legit. And Yeah, as handsome Blizzo said, any air in PI lines will stop it from working peoperly. The injectors need over 100PSI to open and squirt properly. So if there is air trapped, it will be absorbing precious PSI, so will be running lean. Weeping injectors also won't help.
  9. Haha, Oldschool aren't renown for their high ride heights. Except @Beaver, cos he's a gump.
  10. Yep. Keen. Ngawi might be a pain for low vehicles?
  11. Great to see its getting the life it deserves! What a cutie.
