There's usually a bypass (in my experience) at the housing that will start bypassing the filter if the pressure is too high. The idea being if the filter is clogged or collapsed the oil just goes around it Just a spring and a ball behind a bolt head most of the time. Might have a weal/broken spring

Yeah those ones But I have had bad batches that also immediately split at the seam The ones that don't do that last a long time

I hit some seams like that in my nissan with bonderite and then black zinc an out a year ago. It has sat in the weather since then and still looks like the day I painted it I did have access to wire brush the surrounding area of paint and seam sealer

(don't let it block the drain holes)

Last year I spent an hour cutting a bolt with a bit of broken sawzall blade I found on the ground Beats working though!
-
I was seriously considering a sawzall and removing the parts around it

Gottem 10 wacks with the impact driver then an uncomfortable amount of deflection in my breaker bar Best $60 I ever spent

17/32 probably. Don't think I have a 6pt one

Advice on 2 stuck head bolts. I have tried taking the head off 2 cars now and both times the same 2 headbolts just round off with new 14mm 6pt sockets. They are tight a.f so I'm using a 1m long 1/2 bar on them, possibly these particular locations leave it cocked out a little and it rounds them I might try one of those nut grabber spiral sockets that supposedly grab In tighter as you turn? And a hammer impact driver Otherwise drill the head off. They are very high tensile but il get a couple new colbolt bits. They are both mangled at this point, I punched the top to try make them a socket hammer fit but still just slips. This is at a wreckers otherwise I would do terrible things to them with the stuff in my shed

I'm no painter but I do about 2 paint fan lengths from the repair and then a 3rd for the clear

SR2’s 1947 Vauxhall “Rigamortice” Discussion thread.
tortron replied to sr2's topic in Project Discussion
It starts with 0BA being 6mm and pitch of 1mm. But it is then scaled up or down by pitch 0.9^(ba size) and then the diameter is based on that pitch size The thread of a 0ba won't hold any load in a metric 6mm hole -
They will be metric? Should be fairly easy to get from an engine parts place. Certainly from a motorcycle or kart parts supplier, I had a stash of them as they all get chewed up on the rubbish i rebuild

Electric fly swatters used to be way better. Did they always have 3 layers of mesh? Or maybe the outer mesh was way bigger allowing the fly to actually touch the inner one. Should I chuck a big capacitor on one for extra zap. Modern one is less effective than just hitting it with a newspaper because its hard and will dent the wall
