  1. exactly what I was going to say, but better to hear it from Ed, as he is the turbo Mazda fan boy who
  2. I had considered this, but then I found my rear tyres are going to be like, $250 to $300 beans. So would rather go for the cross my fingures 40 dollar option haha
  3. question for some peeps Thermo fan switches I'm looking at putting a Radiator hose inline adapter thing to run my thermo fan, ie, fitting in a thermo fan switch. 2jzge Thermostat opens at 82 degrees I would safely assume you wouldn't want a switch that closes below this temp, as thermostat would constantly be opening and closing, So what sort range do you people think I should be looking for here? was guessing something along the lines if this http://www.tridon.com.au/products/Tridon/35/483/switches-and-sensors/2014/thermo-fan-switches/283/TFS111 open at 95, closes at 90. Seems like reasonable temp range..... I understand there are other factors here to consider, ie fan efficiency, but I assume it would be a good place to start? Just to add, fan is like a 16 inch jobbie And yeah. that, is my story. Any suggestions would be epic
  4. I don't really know what suggest here..... my motor literally sat in the perfect place and mounts were made maybe there is more difference between our chassis than I thought? what sump you running?
  5. replace with the gas struts from your tail gate.
  6. don't you have blocks? which mean factory shock length is pretty much the best choice?
  7. wow, had a super fucking massive day on this. longest day I have spent on this car in a very long time Super rapped mega thanks to beaver too, who came over in the afternoon to try rid him self of a hang over, managed to get a lot further than I had hoped for thanks to him So today, got the carpet in, bench seat in, seat belts in. had to put the diff head back in, lacking an LSD for now, as having issues finding one. Also put the lowered springs and shortend shocks in the back, worried about bump to clearance so will have to see how that goes I guess. Steelies engineering modified my bolt on spacers, as they had no locating rings on them. As always manu did a fucking amazing job, and now I know I don't have to worry about such things for the cert. Also, have decided to paint the chassis and inner guards in the engine bay, just to tidy things up. Wasn't really looking forward to taking the guards etc off as re=running wiring looked like it would be a cunt. Turns out, beaver found out the inner guards come out without having to remove the gaurds them selves. so I'm happy about that. Anyway, some sort of pictures. So yeah, next step. water blast engine bay bits, chassis etc so I can paint chassis, then motor can go in. YAY!
  8. 10 days later and something else has happened! Last weekend was out as I donated my Saturday to Driving Born loser Chris around, which was a pleasure And then had oldnrustys 30th that night which fucked my sunday So progress has been slow But have a full day to play with tomorrow However Wednesday I managed to get the floor sections undersealed, and installed the drive shaft loops today so everything is coming along
  9. The talk of trains and there fare rates per section was to much for me to handle, I had to get up and sit at the other ebd of the table with a beer to settle down.
  10. Bunch of jville pussys. Anyway was a super rad night as always! Make suggestions for a place in the hutt for next month.
  11. pete out of all of this jazz, how much did you actually pay for the plate?
  12. without reading any of this thread just do some super basic checks Is there 12v at the coil. Are your points actually opening? Check points gap etc IE: Turn ignition on, with dissy cap off open the the points with a screw driver and see if there is a small spark between the contacts but basicly, yeah, check your points gap
  13. well I was way to hung over to even consider this Was it any good?
  14. pete also loves rum so tell your child to start drinking rum. that is how it works
  15. tow truck driver must be like, WTF at this guy.
  16. So, I finally managed to get over a mild stone, floors are now floors again after fucking around trying to arrange a time when I could borrow a welder (thanks TGB for the offer!) now I just have the super un fun job of grinding it all back, welder was a cunt in spots, went super bird shit in one area. never figured out why. Oh well. Atleast its done looking forward to getting the drive shaft loops in and finally get the carpet and seat into this thing. And because this thread doesn't have enough pictures,
