We have a shit skatebowl in town so have knocked up a ramp for the kids at home. A few more cross rails to weld in when this thunderstorm passes.I guess some plywood won't go amiss either.

Wash the Molasses off with water and a stiff scrubbing brush. I have gone over with a wirebrush after that and the steel shines like it's 1928 again.
-
My tub gets a bit of a whiff to it now and then but when it works as well as it does it doesn't matter much. The Molasses will pit machined surfaces though. I have a Model A firewall soaking at the moment. Igor, no bee problem that I have noticed.
-
That was just one batch that were shit though, not all of them. The one in the rafters of my shed I bought in 1995 has been fine

Molasses and water mix will take care of the rust, paint stripper what is left of the paint.

We only have an M8 kit at work but the O.D. of an M8 insert is a tad under 10mm if that's any help to you ? -

I have a 130 twin too. Been a good little machine on panel steel with .6 wire and Argoshield. They can weld some pretty hefty steel together if you know what you are doing. The biggest trouble with a bigger machine aside from getting amperage down low enough for panel work can be torch size getting into tight places. -
It can be done but is a huge pain in the arse. Importer has to sign paperwork when you get it vinned etc so being at the other end of the country is likely to be a no go. I would recommend leaving it alone TBH.

I use Wattyl Super etch on bare steel all the time. It is a very good product but as stated it is thin being an etch primer. I just laid on 3 or 4 coats and sanded it as a base primer for my F100 deck using Dulon over the top. Never had an issue with any paint not sticking to it.

Are those Carac couplers road legal ? We sell them at work but were told they would not get a W.O.F. Farm type trailer only.

Oh, okay. I have some left over from our house redo so thought I would use it mainly to stop draughts from underneath as my floorboards are to be butt joined. I had forgotten the droop all together.
-
Unclejake, The underlay, what is the reason for the droop, breathing or similar ?? I am about to put some down in the Kids Gas Station/Playhouse and would have layed it out flat had I not seen this post, so Thanks as well.

We used to do Otaria road one way back when I was in the Car Club here, finished by the old house. I ran my Yamaha YTZ250 racing trike up there a few years back too. A good little Road for a play.
