I really like that dyno sheet with the top tips at the bottom.

It matches the car perfectly!

Tarmac Rally Prep Part 2

Wheel alignment and suspension setups ready for Taupo

attachicon.gif1386.jpg

Hi Elliot, very nice job you've done on your car, can't wait to see it. My Dad ( John Metford ) is always telling me how nice it is.

Where do you get the wheel alignment turn plates from? I'm on the lookout for a set..

Cheers,

Andrew.

Thank you Andrew ,

I borrowed the setup from a friend , I would like to get my own one day too.

We used this for the camber castor

similar turntables to these

and the string line setup for the alignment was just home made :thumbleft:

Are you attending the brit and euro car show in March ?

Nice one, 16.2 was by best ET with my old pinto motor. It had Crow mild street cam, electronic ignition and a rejetted 32/36 weber. Then went 14.5 with another pinto, 10:1cr, Kent GTS1 cam, Big valve ported head, twin 45's, Accuspark ignition, custom pipes & 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust.

Very nice build, that paint job is awesome. I still really want a MK1 2 door one day, I guess the long I wait the less there will be though.

I had some custom pipes which were copied from my engine builders race car. Tony Law and Steve Simpson pipes from the UK are very good

Seems this discussion thread hasn't been active for a while but just wanted to say it was awesome to see your car go up the hill at leadfoot and thank you for taking the time to meet and chat with my mates and I in the pits between runs. The atmosphere at the event was fantastic and they way the drivers, mechanics and team members welcomed the spectators in and around the pits was just fantastic.

+1 to that. I didn't make it along, but my old man said he had a yarn to you about your car and he was thoroughly impressed with it :)

Thanks for the comment mate !
Unfortunately my laptop broke at leadfoot and I haven't managed to get onto oldschool lately
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole Leadfoot experience and thank you to your friends for coming over to chat , that really made the weekend for me how welcoming and friendly everyone was :)
