SO I tried fitting a door today

I am using 'House' door handles and managed to cross thread one of the two bolts that hold the handle in place

It his about 50% in and wont go any further in or out

Any suggestions?

One door on:

The second door handle was missing the metal hole that attaches to the door frame that the tongue goes in

Back to Mitre 10  tomorrow

edit: I know I have not cut out the window hole yet ;)

so I looked at this again and mocked up some door trim:

I know the bit is split on the top, was just seeing how it will work.

If I get time I will make it a 3 piece arch above the door to look nicer

Also it needs to drop about 10mm

Well it has been 41 days since an update.

In that time I have done fuck all then with a shock I realised I had 15 days until I would be sleeping in this.

Anyway since then I have got

a) A towbar on the anglia

B) Wof on the anglia (Possibly not in that order)

As I cannot tow this up with my 2015 outlander to an OS Meet

c) I have fitted the outer skin to the rear hatch (A temporary skin until funds allow purchase of another sheet of signboard)

d) Built a bike rack holder (to fit last of all)

I need to do the following

e) Hinge rear hatch after..

f) Cutting the sides to allow rear hatch to lift

g) aquire and fit locks for rear hatch

h) fit weatherproof trim

g) wire up lights and anglia for trailer lights/ check her alternator

h) get WOF Hope the anglia does not die en route

Put some weather trim on the hatch

Tomorrow; wire up and fit lights

Acquire some alloy flat for trim and a door handle

And some latches for the hatch

Today was a good day

edit so I had this list a few days back:

Well it has been 41 days since an update.

In that time I have done fuck all then with a shock I realised I had 15 days until I would be sleeping in this.

Anyway since then I have got

a) A towbar on the anglia

B) Wof on the anglia (Possibly not in that order)

As I cannot tow this up with my 2015 outlander to an OS Meet

c) I have fitted the outer skin to the rear hatch (A temporary skin until funds allow purchase of another sheet of signboard)

d) Built a bike rack holder (to fit last of all)

I need to do the following

e) Hinge rear hatch after..

f) Cutting the sides to allow rear hatch to lift

g) aquire and fit locks for rear hatch

h) fit weatherproof trim  (kinda)

g) wire up lights and anglia for trailer lights/ check her alternator

h) get WOF Hope the anglia does not die en route

So the next few days will be interesting

Don't worry about the tow bar for wofs on the anglia, they do not require a cert. (Although they probably should, seeing how shonky some can be)

Well I am off to Motunau for new years.

I was going to take the Anglia but it is not charging. The alternator provides 14.4 V for the first 5 min of running then stops charging.

So the work wagon will be towing the teardrop up.

It has the spearfishing gear, shotgun, .22 and AK fitted so should be sweet for a fun evening.
