Raizer
Easy to get the window mech out of the back? My cable is sweet, but I just get a click from the motor when I try to power it. Thinking it's either seized mechanism or fucked motor.
kyteler
Yeah, piece of piss mate. Are you trying from the key or the front switch? There's four bolts in behind your rear interior trim and another 3.. maybe 4, that you access from underneath the car... Now.. getting it back in and lining it up may be a WHOLE different story. I found that mine wasn't working on the switch at all (haven't investigated that yet) but was working on the key but only in one direction (not the group), a bit of CRC and some wiggling and holding the key on some funky angles got it sorted. If you insert the key in so far you can squirt some CRC or graphite spray RIGHT ON IN THERE. Should remedy that.
Raizer
Tried key, switch and then wires direct to the motor all just result in a click. That's as far as I got with it when I last looked lol. Starting to build enthusiasm for mine again, need to pull my windscreen out though
kyteler
Oooh, yeah.. that's never a fun task. Get some white spirits and take your time/several days so you don't risk breaking the bitch.
kyteler
Yours could be a bound cable too though, maybe...

Got that bit sorted thanks to insurance...It's fixing the rust Smith and Smith caused that's putting me off. Then slowing the 2L/week oil consumption a bit would be a good idea. Seedy Al
and when you say you bleed it up do you mean you cracked the injectors and got fuel coming out there also?
kyteler
and when you say you bleed it up do you mean you cracked the injectors and got fuel coming out there also? Yeah, exactly that. Maybe not enough though?

kyteler
Got the diseasel running again, just went back over everything. Only a few things left before it's back on the road. Axle bearings. Only needs one but doing both obviously. Front springs adjusted to suit rear lowering blocks. Cargo window cabling fixed or replaced (if possible). Little bit of paint work left to resolve. It's looking good already though. I'm very happy with how it's coming together.
kyteler
OK, so I got impatient waiting for my axle bearings to arrive and decided to re-assemble the ass end and drop it to see what these blocks looked like. The answer is "good" but not great. They will do for not though, still need to find my spring clamps to sort the front end out but at least now I know basically how much I need to sort it by so that's all good. Clutch works, engine works, paint adjustment works. Only a few things left to sort. Cargo window. Axle Bearings. Diff Oil. Front Springs. Then I'll be good to go! So long as nothing explodes after my awesome work. Fingers crossed.

kyteler
I had to alter it from the old ones but it basically says that it's a Prince Automobile and Nissan Prince Service Vehicle, I feel it's quite apt. given my other cars. The rear doors mentions wireless/radio frequency. It should also have a telephone number on the back but I decided against that.
