Toucan
Nice build man. Starlet looks like a tidy base to start with, makes me miss mine!
4AGEMAD
Cheers man, over all pritty happy with it for now. quite a few things niggling at me but once i come back from the Philippines end of this year the build should start to take off. Shame there isn't much of an aftermarket parts following for the kp's but i'll make it work
Roman
Cool project! Dont reccomend rose joints for the 4 link however. In order for the rear diff to move through its arc of travel, each arm needs to become slightly shorter or longer to allow it to raise/lower/tip, which is allowed for with rubber bushes. When you fit rose joints, each arm becomes an exact length instead. So other parts of your car (i.e. diff mounts) need to make up the difference. it also wears out rosejoints pretty quick.Probably especially bad on a triangulated 4 link. kpr
kp's love to crack the floor with full rose joint setup. need to run something fairly stiff though. as end wanders around with the stock rubbers. sweet car btw
4AGEMAD
Thanks for the info guys, I wasn't looking forward to the price tag on those either! You recommend a nolothane bush setup instead. Definitely have to do something as you say the back end wandered real bad on the drive home
kpr
rose joint one end will be ok. i was running urethane bushes all round for ages on mine. just changing to these at the moment, mostly to make it adjustable. //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/21725-kprs-kp60/page-6#entry1208012 also get it diff checked to see if it has toe out, makes them way worse also. Ned
I'm stripping one of these for parts in Auckland BTW if you need any bits. Bit rusty etc but if you want a grill or light surrounds or whatever, still have them in good condition. Love the car though, keen to see what it does with the 20v! NicT
Awesome build man. I dont know what it is with Blacktop 20v's but everyone ive built/rebuilt/opened looks like the one you have. People just never seem to change the oil in them! Open throttles will make everything worth it
4AGEMAD
Thanks man, and yeah me too apart from my other Blacktop I built for my trueno, that was very well looked after. Amen to open trumpets!

ajg193
Looking nice, just don't make the radii too tight or it might cause cracks in the future
4AGEMAD
Thanks for that, I still have a lot to learn. When you say not to make the radii too tight, are you meaning not to create, for example too deeper cuts around the valve guides with added sharp edges?
