pusherman
peugot have same stud pattern as escorts but run a different of set i ran peugot 307 15inch wheels with no dramas but did have to have spacers. currently got 13 inch hotwires with 175 or 185 50 profiles up front and 60 profiles in the back. its sweet. the 15s would rub the inner guard a little on full lock and i had the suspension pretty jammed in the weeds. had to roll rear arch lips with my 13s but like i said its generaly in a on bumps state

JoKer
had 215/45/17's on my Avenger, same set of rims were on a escort once some rubbing/not undriveable, so anything smaller than that?
camo_78
i had 13x7 modgies with 215/50 13s on my old mark 2 sedan,RX3 offset.they sat inside the guard lip(once the lip was rolled up completely),barely rubbed even with flipped leaves and no springs in the front(was NEVER driven on the rd).on the other side of the equation i have a set of 13x6 spitfires with 195/60 13s that did rub on the back due to a slightly more aggressive offset, but were fine on the front. and just to mess things up,i have a set of 15x8 D window steelies that fit on cortinas, but they WONT fit on my escort van ans the rim hits the struts.basically it comes down to what offset you run as to what will fit,in my opinion anyway
chamath
thanks alot sir....well its looks like offest is what making such impact on this....what about 14" 15" wheels with 0 or -10 offset with 205 or 195 tires...i think that will be fine isnt it....and how much should be the width of the wheels...6" or 7"....6" enough i think? chamath
no 14" wheels...only option is 15" or 13"...but 13" looks to small i think http://www.midlandwheels.com/Shop/C-1288-JBW---Minilight.html

BDA780
I have 13x6.5 inch wide Lotus steels on 195 profile Kumhos. 205's rubbed the inner guards but may be sweet for a MK2. And yes 13inch looks the best. What style of wheel are you looking for? Ronal Turbo's are a different choice but look good.
