Brock-Lee
Damn this this oozes cool.   Its hilarious how much space there is in the guards compared to wide steels. Plans to go back to eager spec steels or just live the charger life for a bit.
cletus
will definetly get the wide ones back on, after i sort out the leaks and make a better less scrapey exhaust, ive just been using it for the MANLY CHORES so much i havnt had a chance to work on it
AllTorque
Wouldn't tubes in the tyres of the wide wheels sort your leaky leaky problem?
kyteler
Welding the holes in there is a better option though, why run tubes if you don't have to?>
AllTorque
Cuz tubes are old school
cletus
i tried tubes, that was a major cockup- nearly stopped me getting to last os nats- had 3 punctures. i ended up getting the tubes removed in palmy and went back to dealing with slow leaks. Â correct thing to do would be send back to the guy that welded them up and get him to sort it out, would mean having to get them stripped and painted again though. that is why i have put it off for so long.... RUNAMUCK
Have you upgraded to semi sealed headlihts, or are you rocking birthday candles still?
cletus
ute came equipped with fancypants semisealed lights with good blubs and a headlight relay, its good at night. VG still has lucas prince of darkness useless sealed beams, can/have to drive around on high beam and never get flashed at by other motorists
RUNAMUCK
Sad to see you're letting the beast go.But for a good cause though. Did you wind up giving the soda blaster a hoon on the carb?
cletus
nah i couldnt find anywhere (easily) that sold bulk baking soda, can of supercheap degreaser+ old toothbrush+ waterblaster got the job done. i ended up getting it all cleaned and done and only had to buy a pump plunger. runs pretty good, bit slower and quieter now
RUNAMUCK
You should link your auction over at FABO. They love utes, since they never got them over in the US. Might find some cashed up piner who's gagging to import one?
phr34kr
Pool chemical suppliers will sell baking soda (sodium bicarb.) in 25KG bags ~$50 its food grade. Im not sure if you could get lesser grades cheaper elsewhere?
