Gaz
Oh sweet, they scrape much with 8s or 9s? Done anything apartf rom lip the guards? Gaz
madazda
the 8s are mint the 9s with -5 and a 185 60 rub on guards if they wur 0 offset and a 195 45 it would be mint its got hilux diff shorten about 10mm each side from standard rx2 diff guards have been pulled and rolled but noticeable from outside all done in the inner guard
Gaz
Sounds pretty easy to fit a 9! Did you pump out the inner guard aswell or not needed, could you move the wheels in more if the diff was shorter or are the suspension mounts in the way? Cheers, Gaz
madazda
yeh you can move them in with short diff suspension dost get in the way i have trouble with brake clearance cuse iv got s4 rx7 brakes on the rear
Gaz
Thought that might be the limit without moving suspension arms and shocks. So rear converted to 4x114.3, whats running up the front to match? Been looking for info on a brake upgrade that also nets 4x114.3 PCD fronts but lil to no info out there. Gaz

Gaz
Oh, any ideas how to change to 4x114.3 without restuding? Whats the width on the front btw?
shizzl
adaptor plates or s3 rx7 struts?
madazda
its not hard to change pcd and its better to restud as u can put studs in insteat of the stupit bolts they have when i done s4 brakes i redone pcd from 5x114.3 to 4x110 again the fronts are 14x8 -11 aswell you need atleast a -7 offset if your runing 8s up front or a 0 offset and a spacer will work

sr1600
been looking at similar hubs as well making both cars the same stud pattern Then my Rota RKR will fit on the rx as well http://msfracingcomponents.com.au/mazda ... omponents/
Gaz
Are some of the later rx7s 4x114.3 at all, what about using those discs or offset wrong? Gaz
oldrx
s3 are but rx2 studs come out of the hubs, totally independent of the brake disc (that bolts to the back of the hub). So you would have to use the hub too (or they might be one piece not sure) either way it will be a fuck around as the stub axles are different. I.e spacers or different bearings to compensate. It is possible to use the whole strut but everything time ive read about it the attempter seems to regret it as it totally fucks the camber. Pretty much new hubs are the best way that ive come across. Not to say there arent other ways if you're engineering clevers are up to it. Evan
series 3 rx7 discs/hubs are 4x114.3 and are one piece, ie. not seperate.
