As for faster on track days I'm working on a couple of things only need a couple of sec's to pass you M_C lol

Replacing an oil leak with another oil leak may not get you a couple of sec's...

LSD, now you are talking.

Maybe time to break out my secret driver training.

Engines looking awesome. Have you had a chance to open it up yet?

Those wheels, in my opinion, look great unpolished. I would just leave them, keep the sandpaper right away, but coat them with something to protect the alloy so it doesn't corrode.

Have given it a few runs around the streets and small play on the motor way it pulls very hard itching for track day to see how it goes. I had a mechanic I know who is into old school fords he reconed it has around 135 hp. I know I'm very happy with it on the bike carbs. Makes my old engine seem like a 1300 lol. I didn't know that a xflow could go like that.

One of the mags has a big chip on the edge so the plan is to repair and get them repainted maybe in shadow chrome but open to ideas on colour.

Hi there, been following the progress on the project for awhile - nice work! Had a couple of Escort Sports in my time, theyre fantastic cars. Noticed that the wheels you have put up beside your car looked very distinctive, I wondered if they had Avon Formula Ford slicks / semi slicks on them? I had the exact same wheels on an Escort I raced may years ago - are the stud holes filed out to fit 4x108pcd? Bit of a laugh if theyre the same....20 plus years on.

Good luck at your track day, and keep up the posts!

Hey thanks . Yes they have Avons semi's on them they are very near the end of there life now. But still maybe have a couple more outings in them. Yes they are an 4x108pcd and don't appear to have been drilled out.I was thinking about a gold center with shadow chrome around the out side need to do some photo shop to work out what is best.

It goes away in winter for panel and paint. I usually tidy a car up and upgrade but I just cant sell this one it is like you said they are fantastic cars , so I will have start with a new one.

While my car was a the Kumeu show. I meet the guy who was the second owner of my car It was really weird but very cool he told me a few things about it and was keen to get it back but it has a new home now that it will for ever be a part of of. I will have to get another project once the sport is all finished
