timthejester
What colour would you recommend? Gloss orange? Maybe with some Watanabes, flares and a G-nose?
DJZ
How about carbon fibre?
timthejester
I would agree with that pic, if they got rid of the headlight covers.
mikey
Sweet. Good to have another 240z'er on here! I agree with above. Dont do black, and dont do carbon-fiber wrap! Do this!

DJZ
I know most people think they should look like this: (note it's not even in Japan) But I'd be all over an S30 like this: (except for maybe a smaller wing on the back, or no wing) It looks like you've got a fairly solid base to start working from, what are you plans motor wise? mikey
I'd be all over an S30 like this It takes all types....
timthejester
Man those last 2 are ugly as sin The matte green one is closer to the money. Engine wise I am sticking with the L24, just tweaking it a little, triple carbs, street cam, headers. That's about it. With a car this pretty it's not about speed. More about the sound. HungLau
Seems like you got a little bit of rust bro?
MrMcdoll
needs less and more + + + + All courtesy of a little:
J-Calico
Indeed there is alot of rust work to tackle, but one of the most awesome cars to begin such a feat on. I admire the members who undertake such projects, skills I wish I had. I agree with DJZ, I think the Rocky Z cars are fucking awesome. The bottom one on Huge mesiters has a full house '26 in it. Its the ultimate oldschool/new school hybrid. Carbon one is also sweet with NA 26 that evidently sounds absolutely amazing.
kyteler
Cool though an RB26 might be, an L6 sounds better.
timthejester
Yeah I could put an RB engine in it, that would be great.......if I wanted to look like every other dickhead who rebuilds an S30. My aim is not power, my aim is a nice looking/sounding car that I can cruise around in.
MrMcdoll
Rb's are ghey!
Flauski
Nice base to start with. Haven't seen chicken wire lurking in sills (as a shape to form bog over) for ages! My fav of all time which no doubt Z purists hate is the rat one: Of course it is highly impractical. I'm not a fan of G noses or headlight covers but flares on a Z - yus! If your going to go to the effort of cam etc you may as well get an L28, bolt in, 400cc bigger and still available cheaply if your quick enough on trademe. Its not worth spending hundreds on an L24 that when finished will still be slower than a second hand L28 for $
Mike-e
Seems like you got a little bit of rust bro? right. compared to other things parked in that shed that is a little tiny minimal bit of rust also, agree with above about mild rat
