Can vouch for that but I reckon dry ice may help remove more. Mine still has lots of really small bits that are gona be a right cunt to get off

I may have to, closest BOC is in TGA/ROT, two hour drive just to get the ice. Woman love picking things, the wife can do it.

Try a party supply place - they may do it - or possibly a chemist may be able to get it in - or BOC Tauranga may deliver it by courier..

If its in a polysterene container it will last a good length of time..

Chur, i'll go visit them, see if they can hook a brother up/see how much it costs. When I worked there, they were using liquid nitrogen for something, wonder how well that would work on sound deadening?

Also - I found the air chisel to be supremely awesome at removing black sound deadening. It just flew off and with care the steel is left undamaged

Yeh, is pretty much tar, can imagine heating it up/making it gooey could get messy. I'll have a go at it once carpet is out, and if its a total cunt, i'll get the dry ice. Also I dunno if std ice would have the same effect, as that would be say -10? dry ice turns to gas at about -55, so its a piss load colder.

I took three sections off about 375mmx375mm total, and my goal was as yours, weight removal, but for a very different reason. Weight removed was about 560 grams. Yay.

 

Afterward I had a grubby bag of ice that I didn't want to put back in the freezer, so I tipped it into a bucket and put three bottles of Rochdale cider in there. A fitting reward for an afternoon's hard work
