zep
It does. Only problem I can see is in the first photo (below) the flares trail back at the rear of the car. That looks awesome with a black car, but zeps yellow car with black flares might look a bit funny like this because you'd be able to see yellow underneath the guard. Could probably sort something out though. Those are one of the better examples in this thread I think.this celica pulls them off quite well The back of the rear flare just doesn't do it for me aye. I prefer the look to be more like an arc. The Super Wide ZG ones (rears all around) are something I'm looking in to. And as for the escort ones, I'm going for the bolt on style, don't wanna bog them over
zep
ZG Flares on a 510 The rear is exactly what I'm going for here in terms of looks. I wonder if a 1600 rear arch is similar in length to the Gem one.
zep
These look like ZG flares too... What kind of car is this?
zep
Is this a Civic?
mikuni
The ZG flares on that 510 aren't any where near wide enough. And the above Honda is a late 80's Legend, judging by 5 studs, wider guards and fuel cap position.
Truenotch
If you can wait a couple of months you might be able to try Simon's ZG flares... We're making a trip to Auckland when the 1UZ and flares arrive at the ports - may work? Also, that Dolomite was at the last round of the Manfeild Winter Series - I'll go find them at the next round (July 4th) and see if they have a mould or if they know where to get them. Yeah, I'm thinking the Wide ZGs aye, could be pretty mean! If you can wait a couple of months you might be able to try Simon's ZG flares... Can probably wait, need to save cash for this stuff anyway! I actually got in contact with Nigel who owns the Dolomite and he said that the flares were on the car when he bought it. kyteler
These look like ZG flares too...What kind of car is this? It's a Z you idiot. Also in regards to your PM, why the fuck would I measure a 510 when I could go to my brothers and measure an S30.. you know, the car the ZG flares are designed for.. that one? You know the one? kyteler
Also, Rob can do the same and/or measure the flares themselves.
zep
Because I already have the measurements for the ZG flares. I want to know if they have been bent in to fit smaller arches of a 510. If they have, I'll know if this is a possibility for me, you fool of an old man! And good lord, I seriously thought that green car some something like an old civic hatch, I'm going out of my mind! kyteler
WELL THEN! For reference sake the S30 and the 510 are similar in size physically. The S30 is slightly smaller, I believe.
My name is Russell
what about making them out of steel? then you can weld fold and grind at them untill your heart is content. scribe the shape of your body onto some template weld up some tags tweak the shap etc. could poss take a steel lip of something with a similar shape to graft on. just a completly wild alternative idea. zep
Yes, but I have absolutely no experience in work like that. I'm in contact with the ultra wide ZG flares guy who says people have sucessfully sectioned his flares. This is the best option so far I think.
