10Speed
have sourced a second hand engine from the states, a ZA50. Which means 2 speeds FY873jRyhdw you can see the orange bike on the previous page on on a dyno at 4:55 and a summary of its run at 5:20 - it's also running a ZA50
10Speed
so now, the rear of the frame is gusseted: there is an additional 3 litres of fuel carrying capacity: and a rough assembly of some parts has occured: feeling pleased with myself this evening... kicker
Fuck that looks good, nice work. Most frame braces I have seen look crap but yours suits it nicely and it also increases fuel capacity
10Speed
so it's my birthday today - look what I got... (and also Rally driving lessons in Maramarua forest)
10Speed
did a little more putting together, focusing on getting the suzuki k10 forks to fit my frame properly fitted a spacer to raise the lower race 8mm, and then centre it by locating on its outer edge... and what do you know they fitted up like they belonged there... next will be sorting out the pedals which don't clear the bigger gearbox on the new engine or my super special huge expansion chamber

10Speed
they came from the states; 1977 mopeds and were $200US... will let you know if I see any Puch's (& I still have an engine with your name on it btw) but tbh they seem pretty thin on the ground in this country... bubblegoose
yeah ive figured that. engine will still get good use even if i have to/want to fabricate a frame from scratch
10Speed
mocked up number plate and tail light... not sure about it... even the small motorbike spec number plate looks huge compared to the rest of the bike I am also installing an HPI CDI, this only has a 10w lighting coil. 10w means I will have to run LED lighting, unfortunatly the only headlight I have that I that I like was a 18w 6v sealed beam unit. So I have dremelled out the bulb part and jb welded (I like JB Weld now btw) a tower LED in its place looks like a bought one and the beam is much better than I was expecting
