My first project was a 2.0 mk1 wagon too. 105e Anglia has a narrower diff housing that will take Escort diff heads. Anglia rear brakes are nasty though and Escort ones don't fit straight on, I think the Escort drum has to be spaced off the axle flange and the spring perches redone.
