You need to preheat the heck out of it though, and v it, and make sure you get a good stable puddle, and move back and forth the v, then overlay that as you go down the line. then put it back into the heating oven at 200 degrees, to heat it back up, then turn the oven off, and let it cool down slowly (not a household oven, heath reasons). I've done it, works just fine, wouldn't trust my life to the weld, but its never cracked on where the weld is. There is normally a good reason why cast stuff cracks, so it will likely just crack elsewhere. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think they were a set of supercharged rocker covers... although some N/A's seem to not have the big riser in the centre. If you are looking for a set, I gave a pair to HighLUX which were in pretty good nick along with the other dust collecting 1G bits so he would be a good place to start..
