ThePog
Awesome - I had 2 red MkII wagons when I lived in the UK, got a bit of a soft spot for them. Went fucking everywhere in them. Some knob lectured me for about an hour about the second one I owned saying it was the 'gold wing' model pointing out the herringbone cloth seats and extra brightwork etc etc wankety wank...... that one cost me 200 pounds with a years MOT and Tax - the owner thought the gearbox was fuct because it would go straight into reverse without pushing the gearstick down - smart fucker me knew full well that it was just missing the circlip on the shaft... Needs something twin cam and those bubble arches = my 2 cents

Raizer
Looking good aye, I'm not really a fan of the wagons but after seeing how your van's come out I reckon the goon will be mint! Bubbles and a B5 Mazda engine ftw...
Brock-Lee
looks great dan. some good prgress you got going there. Bubbles and a B5 Mazda engine ftw... Bubbles yes. But b5 mazda engine, as in the 1500 single cam that came out in fwd 323's, eww.
Raizer
No B5 as in the DOHC that came in the interplay Familia and Astinas. They rev well, seem to handle all the abuse you can give them and would haul an Escort around well (although I would use bigger cams and a pair of 40's/ITBs to get a bit more power out of it)
Brock-Lee
Your thinking of the b6. The b5 was a sohc 1500 but came out as a dohc 1500 in japan only. b6 is a dohc 1600 that came out in astinas etc
d.p.n.s
i did think about the bpt but what rwd box bolts up to them?
Brock-Lee
bpt would be the best starting point. mx5 box's work. mate back home built a bpt'd courior. Will hit him up and ask him what he went through to do the conversion to rwd. You have a bit of experiance with the b6t's dont you?

The B5 DOHC is a Japanese-only variant of the B5 with fuel injection and revised head/intake system. Found in the 1989-1994 Mazda Familia Interplay and Ford Laser S. Brock-Lee
lol b5 dohc is like 80kw. for the effort seems like a pointless conversion. sorry dan I will stop spamming now.
Raizer
Yeah but there easy to get more power out of, the cams are very mild in them. My old Famillia went pretty damn well with a pair of cams from Kelford and a good set of headers. + they rev real quick and are damn cheap to run /will stop spamming now too lol
