10Speed
pleased to see that entirely by coincidence I have got my wheel colours correct...
63Ragtop
that might be blue on that one. or not. have you got that car back together yet?
10Speed
it totally should be back together.... but it's not...
64valiant
thats a bummer about your wheels. just an idea. by new barrels from twl and take the centers out and make the correct off set wheel or just do that to your current rim?
10Speed
something like that will happen... possibly sell the current ones and just make a new set... obviously I just need to ensure I don't end up with more dish on the front than the back but for the mean time I'll fit the BRM's and focus on getting it the on the road and certed, besides in the last few years everyone's started doing wide steels
Shakotom
How wide are your rears?

10Speed
well I might need something to widen to different specs... we can talk
63Ragtop
Hey 10speed good to see some progress has been made, shame the wheels don't fit the rear any more. Still drums on the rear? How are the front disc's? do they increase the track also?
10Speed
yeah 'special' drums to allow wide 5 on IRS, and these will get a set of stock front master cylinders and pads inside them... so braking and handbrake should be excellent all around... I didn't think 4 wheel discs was worth the additional cost/engineering etc and the front's are a zero offset kit... http://vwparts.aircooled.net/0-Offset-Wide-5-Disc-Brake-Kit-1949-65-Link-Pin-T1-p/401498.htm looks like really nice stuff uses Mk2 Golf callipers (did have to get a rhd master cylinder separately from the UK though)
63Ragtop
very beefy! no wonder the old wheels don't fit! but will the new ones?
Seedy Al
what are we talking about when saying irs etc?
