Gaz
What do the MR2s use? Do they have a vbox type unit?
Honda Ass Dragger
mr2s use the stand front wheel drive pooh style gearbox
Gaz
Thought they were RWD. How does the driveshaft go from mid engine to gbox position then back to wheels. I would have thought it wuld use a VBOX
Honda Ass Dragger
easly the engine bay is the same as a fxgt jsut in the back not in the front, some of the ealry 80tys sereis 2 corrolas use a vbox thou but these are pretty ahrd to find as most off road buiulders snap them up
Gaz
I think I need to look at one sometime. Does it work with linkages rather than direct gearlever into box?
Honda Ass Dragger
not to sure i have nevr really been intrested in mr2 but im gunna presume they work on linkages much like a van
Gaz
Yeah id say linkages. I hate them myself was just generally interested. I have a v box at my house but its froma boat.

Honda Ass Dragger
yeah mate mate uses one in his classs c off roader as its the easist way to mount a 4age into a offrader is to use the vbox style gearbox

Honda Ass Dragger
do it would be somthing different aye, not sure if the gearbox would last to long thou 4agte are a we bit of an animal when they come on boost
CaMpylobacter
do it would be somthing different aye, not sure if the gearbox would last to long thou 4agte are a we bit of an animal when they come on boost would be fine. just dont hammer the fuck out of the box. chuck a 4agze ae101 box in thur, mr2 turbo internals in those cunts. good luck trying to kill one of them k50s handle 4age turbos quite well, pending treatment etc traction and abuse is the only thing that kills gearboxes, apart rom heat and lack of lubrication pwn
Snoozin
Mate of mine did a Corolla II (NthSth FWD) with a 4AGZE a few years ago, on that subject.

lowlancer
From what I can tell, you'd be better off following Cams idea and getting a ZE and throwing a turbo on instead. Semi forged inbternals, set up for boost and turbo=teh win over shit house s/c I don't know too much though, but it seems the relatively cost effective/simple way to acheive your goal
Gaz
Put a larger supercharger on. Superchargers > turbo if turbo < T66 or turbo < GT35/40r
Guest safe_as_can_be
Xtra's been sucking a bit latley! Yeah im planning on running a magasquirt, and by the looks of it im getting a near new 4A-GE (blue-top, bigport, TVIs) engine, only 30,000 on the clock . That should be an almost perfect start for a turbo conversion. Anyone know what sorta price i should be paying for a bigger set of injecters then stock? Gaz
What size are standard GTI-r 444cc injectors will set you back around 200-300 bucks.
