  1. I've got a eb xr8.. afaik the autos are open diff and manuals lsd - dunno about wags tho.
  2. Sweet engine, looks like a 'Y' block which has the biggest ports and runners of the 12as; stage 2 port it, and it'll honk : ) Did the gearbox mount up inline with the original tunnel mounts or.. ? I'm pretty sure under the cowl vents were not painted black.
  3. For the sedan steelies I will give you a good price and come and pick them up.. if you want, when you're ready.. : )
  4. I would like to buy your sedan steelies and whitewalls if you want to sell them at some stage.. or put them on trademe.
  5. Yeah mate it's a s1 box.. it says above s2,3,4 boxes have the remote shifter like your s3 box. Clutch size is dependent on flywheel size. Check and see if the input shaft splines are the same on your boxes.. if they are and you have an 8.5" flywheel then you can use your new clutch with either box.
  6. Yep as above^ bottom one s1 rx7 and the top one s3 rx7 turbo.. they have different size clutches from factory; 8.5" and 9" respectively. Also Gaz twin dissy is side mounted off front plate with engine mounts while single dissy is mounted off the front cover with engine bracket and mounts.
  7. Yeah they're a long way forward.. Early xmember is mounted the same only the engine is side mounted off the front plate.
  8. Your xmember looks like a twin dissy rx2 with extensions to fit 13b probly.. you can mount a 13b rx3/4 style (under sway bar) but will be way up front.. or you can mount it s3 rx2 style but your gearbox xmember will be way back then. You could keep what you've got; might be best and easiest I don't know. Those struts are probly rx2 as rx7 spindles are on a different angle and you end up with positive camber: http://www.rx7club.com/old-school-other-rotary-63/rx7-struts-rx2-734483/
  9. Pretty sure that's what it says on a cert plate.
  10. My understanding of it is a non certed car must not be lower than 100mm from any structural part of the vehicle.. certed cars can be lower, but not lower than what it says on cert plate.
  11. Floating hubs? What the? Do they go on the front or back, how do they work please?
  12. Rotary oil coolers from say s4? onwards have a thermal pallet in the cooler (so oil bypasses until up to temp.). Heaps of info on them online if you wish to search them out. Just an idea
  13. Loving the bugeye aye.. sweet colour!
  14. Sounds like it might be something like the steering bearings (rotational bearings on the strut) flogged out causing the play. Just a guess I'm no expert.
  15. Good stuff; why ruin something that amazingly, hasn't been.
  16. This. If you are 'thinking of getting a set of standard springs and choppy chop chop' you most likely will mess with the ride quality as a shorter spring is a harder spring. Sweet car by the way.
  17. Yes, probly ideal^.. about the right size for what you want; offering some cooling but not too much, and maybe do without thermostat/pellet too (just guessing about temp.).
  18. Most rotary ones (you know on TradeMe) have a thermostat (bypass pellet) built in. That's what I'd go for; you can hang it under your radiator.
  19. 12a is a good idea if I may say.. Is that an NGK plug?
  20. That video especially is the most bogan thing I've ever seen.
  21. Mitutoyo $25 http://www.trademe.co.nz/building-renovation/tools/hand-tools/measuring/auction-521463693.htm
  22. Here you are: http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/stand ... ssions.pdf Motorcycle engines at 2.6(2); Page 10.
  23. Nice job so far.
  24. Basis sent me the wrong stuff, I wont be going back most likely.
