  1. Now that you mention it's a 1.1 Auto with Vinyl roof I'm in! But seriously, I'm in provided I can still get a ride back with Slacker_Sam on Sunday?
  2. Cool idea - we're starting to get a few more locals. I too am without OS steed at the moment but still keen for yarns.
  3. RX8 closed on TM for under $4k last week... Cheapest FD non stuffed $15k http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/mazda/auction-765684138.htm
  4. Sorry no help, I bought some full length ones from ebay so it was my first place to look. I'd ask the seller, the weird way that ebay works means you can have quite a conversation with sellers before they ship, especially from Vietnam/Thailand.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/26cm-rear-shock-absorber-suspension-honda-C50-C65-C70-C90-C100-C102-C105-CA100-/261242572792?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3cd3454ff8
  6. I can't get off early on Friday so will require transport after 3:10 from Nelson as Slacker Sam wants to be in convoy in the Torino. Does anyone want gas monies...?
  7. Registered - looking forward to Torino!
  8. Rustwagon Build Thread What a sweet shape wagon (those rear arch bulges, phwoar!) , and xsspeed is right, Turbos can actually look cool!
  9. Can't see that photo but there's definitely a triple stacker in Happy Valley...
  10. The 6 speed XL125s go pretty well for what they are. BUT is it a runner? Just a piston and clutch can quickly turn into new electrics etc. too. In my experience 80s trail bikes are a disposable item (I spent $5500 on a 1987 DR250 that still didn't run well, ditched it for $800 and ran away).
  11. Watching you drive it was pretty clear why you did well in the gymkhana, very very tidy turn in - all that knee down riding on bikes!
  12. There's a sweet surf on Tm for $6.5k Ono that's been converted to 1kz running gear. Definitely appeals to me, new radiator etc so cooling system should be up to scratch.
  13. I'd pick Alex or Sam, I can store until Nats if they say yup.
  14. Yes, low boost will be fine. Google search you lazy lazy chap.
  15. Ot/ Coming to Nats and yup said porter will have had 6 months. Will have some IPA too if I get organised.
  16. As a burnt out workshop fucktard (cheers Bart!). I'm suspicious that Felixx's school has an automotive class so there's hope. I have a feeling they were selling a pinto powered kit car on Trademe a wee while back that while hugely overpriced looked well put together.- Edit: what he said.
  17. Denniston incline, 12,000,000 tons of coal down a 45 degree slope. Built in 1879ish, pretty cool. And well set up for info/exploring now. Oh and Lyell has heaps of old mining stuff too...
  18. How many days total is the tour? Could make a loop down to Wanaka and back up the West Coast...
  19. Cheers for the in depth post Sheepers. It's been easy to look at some of your work and just assume you're a god/it all goes together in 2 minutes. Love your work.
  20. 6 speed would be a good thing, I had an xlr125 with 5 speed, dropped a tooth in the front sprocket to get MORE top speed (drop in final drive allowed it to pull greater revs). Only bike I've ever heard of that happening with.
  21. If the initial purchase price is low enough to walk away from it/wreck the high value parts, you can't lose. Plus it's only a weekend car, worst case scenario is that you have to use the daily in the weekends, provided you haven't ticked up $15k @ 24% to get it...
  22. Clean sheet wof, testing station chap even foamed a little about the bar mounts being milled off. Battery needs to be charged for full dazzle - will siphon a little oil out tonight too, could really do with a dip stick/viewing window. Polish, then sell, if keen PM, owes me over $2k/I've done 500 km in a year would be stoked with $1500 otherwise will be on trademe at the weekend.
  23. September! 2 months to do a couple of simple jobs...rage quit with gasket paper, bought liquid gasket = success. Failed at getting bike to run, ether would give a cough. Realised eBay 'bling' fuel filter was providing too much resistance. Replaced exhaust -> header rubber joiner with Nos, luverly Wheelies round work car park, spotted large amounts of oily petrol/petroly leaking on ground crank case 'stopper' not sealing properly. I think it actually is ready for a wof now...will report back tomorrow.
