  1. Some pretty amazing cars here at chrome if you're not up to anything this weekend. Out at Ruapuna.
  2. Yeah, I hadn't even heard of the event. @mattj with the rotary Anglia from Nelson will be heading down too.
  3. Is anyone else going to Chrome on the 8/9th of March? We're trailering down my brother's 180SX Type S/X as it won't quite have cert.
  4. Lock it in, I'll pop it outside so you can collect sometime on your way through Richmond.
  5. I have an umbrella that mounts to an arm which you could clamp to your deck...would need a couple of decent g-clamps.
  6. Hannah has a debating thing on all day which has squashed my hopes of attending. Unless it runs into the afternoon? Will expose my kids to barrydom if so...
  7. Shanghai Customs. Pretty spendy but solves a lot of the issues.
  8. Awesome, will PM my number so we can sort a time/day that suits you. Actually school is probably as good a place as any.
  9. Swell, I'm struggling to think of a logistics solution that doesn't take significantly more effort than just riding it out, parking in the cars for sale section, barrying with your good self and riding home when full to the brim of barry.
  10. Would you have room for my CL50 on your deck/a ramp long enough to push it up?
  11. DR-Z400E carb and cam are upgrades too eh?
  12. May as well. I'll put it on the calendar.
  13. @yoeddynzusually makes an appearance. I guess I'll take my CL50 out there if it hasn't sold by then. I had a pretty good clean out last year so all my other treasures are being hoarded.
  14. Love your work BTW, this is one of my favourite OS projects. The 4x4/720/Kingcab combo makes me swoon even in stock form.
  15. Growing up we had a 720 king cab as our only family vehicle. I was 6ft tall when it was finally replaced. I've always lusted after one of these or a Hilux xtracab.
  16. I reckon there's a few products here that aren't in the aliexpress café racer thread? Would be good to add them as I hope to be doing some shopping if the CL50 sells, what size is your headlight? I think I need a 7"...
  17. There's a & $400 SJ50 in Tauranga...don't ask how I know. Or a $500 CT110 with no plate...
  18. Yeah I'm a fan too, not even a hard font to replicate. Get it laser cut out of acrylic at school.
  19. Great minds think alike. I've been on the hunt for something similar for a while. Tempted to WR250R as I haven't spotted one as lovely as yours and just rock the wof/rego on hold until it gets to 40 years old in 2048...
  20. What brand is that? I'm running a total loss system on my CL50 for the indicators. So something that avoids 'bricking' the battery would be sweet.
  21. This plus, you've documented it so well that others should be able to follow in your foot steps with relative ease. Keep up the awesome work.
  22. If you've got nothing on today, and want to see what the bogans of 2030 looked like when they were teenagers, Evolocity is on at the Kartsport Hamilton track near the airport from 10-3.
  23. Our 48V 1kW motors actually run a 2.2kW speed controller, again with a 40A fuse - not great for the longevity of the motors, but good for performance! We don't have pedal assist, so the bit of extra oomph to get you off the line is a winner.
  24. 350W tends to be the constant rating, and a pretty conservative one at that. The 350W motors we run will hit 750W under acceleration. We run 24V and 40A fuses...
  25. Yeah, was a testing station in Motueka. The adjusters are a little concealed compared to an old school sealed beam. They tried to tell my wife that the adjusters had been messed with and she'd have to take it to a dealer/mechanic to sort. Pretty painful, to be fed such obvious bollocks. Will take it back next time I can get there or take it somewhere else as its an hour return trip.
