It's more of a boss than a flange I guess, would only have 8.75mm from edge of M8 hole but it will have up to 100nm of torque through it so maybe a spline or something is needed to transfer the force and the bolts can be to secure it. Just trying to work out if a part I have found can be used before seeing a beard about it

Hey, if I'm bolting a sprocket to a flange with M8 bolts, how much edge distance would would be a good idea minimum? Flange is thicc as, 20mm+

Woo, been a while. Not sure what happened to all the pics, bike has been modded since then anyway so here are some new ones. Main new bits are, removed sissy bar, made some hard tail struts, softball bat exhaust and pegs are up above the engine now. Skinny

LEDs can run on AC, probably not best practice but a number run them like that including myself, the trailtechs probably help by keeping the AC from flying all over the show.

I did the exact same on my old B1600, it would turn the engine over for a split second then pop out making a whizzing noise. Clean and lube ftw

That's what I was told when talking to a cert guy many years ago. Not sure if that is the general consensus.

Is that the lamp circuit you mean? Switched 12v goes through the charge lamp and earths in the alt unless it is charging and is pushing 12v back up it.
