  1. That looks pretty good tbh, seems to say they don't have record of selling that particular bike but it's within the bunch they imported which is very good. There's a few other bits and pieces required like declaration of ownership and another declaration involving it's condition (both stamped by a JP), a confirmation of chassis and engine numbers (done by a compliance person at vtnz/vinz) and then any other crap you can provide, the more the better (this was advice from the nzta team themselves), like the sales ad, emails or text convos with the seller, picures of the bike, any documentation you got with etc. It's a bit of faff but seems like it should go through easy. Only thing I'm not sure of but will find out soon I guess, is that once you have approval to register it it might need a Pre Delivery Inspection before Vtnz/vinz will proceed, sounds like its basically a check dealerships do on new vehicles but can be done on used ones, it's just not common but have read of people achieving this.
  2. Have you run the vin/chassis number through Landata? Give VTNZ, Vinz or anyone you know with access, might be something there already. If not you'll probably need to use the Alternative Documents form (ca03) regardless of it's origin, this form is for when you are missing documentation. If it was sold new here and you hopefully can get a letter from BlueWing confirming this and that it is a street legal model then you'll be away laughing but minus $184. Mine was an import and not sold here so I needed an exemption from having the export certificate and to show proof it was a street legal model.
  3. Neat bike, I may have some relevant info as I'm currently trying to do the same. Was it sold new in NZ or imported? Also From 1 November 2021 All current model new motorcycles and imported used motorcycles over 125cc must have ABS. All current model new motorcycles and imported used motorcycles up to and including 125cc must have ABS or CBS.
  4. If its already been reg'd in NZ you won't need it, I was following it up cos I wanted to reg my KDX which had been imported but never reg'd and the export cert lost.
  5. I've been in contact with them already about a bike, no info for motorcycles apparently. Edit: I was looking for export cert and got this back "Hello, unfortunately it is impossible to obtain registration documents for motorcycles."
  6. He would have had you off the mark too if it was just down to the machine, probably just snicked up a couple gears then rolled on the juice hauling in everything in sight.
  7. Nice Busa, my old man had one for a while, just a little bit rapid
  8. Hey, I'm somewhere near Berhampore and can have a geez for you. Slide into my dm's

    PAINT THREAD

I was watching the shit above do it's thing, looked ok at first but the carrier liquid seemed to be promoting more rust than the active ingredient could deal with.

    PAINT THREAD

I bought a small bottle of Neutra Rust a while back to test. This part was rusty and had been wire brushed before application. That's what it looked like after the Neutra Rust had dried.
  14. Yeah clutch plates can stick if it has been sitting a while, it'll go away after some regular use, the classic clunk will still be there as you probably know.
  15. Anyone know know where and how long that old bypassed bit of SH6 is?

    Kicker's C50

Cheers! Yup but it's a cheap knockoff one so instead of being aluminium as advertised it was actually mild steel, which worked out well as it didn't need as much support. I basically just cut the knob off the handle, slid it into the header (was perfect fit) welded it up, added a bracket then step drill a hole in the end

  19. Some cool whips there, any deets on the Katana? 750?
  20. I used CRC Mag Monster the other day, my silver wheels were black with 2 years of brake dust. A quick spray and agitation with a brush and they hosed off nice and shiney, will trade again but more frequently this time.
  22. What are the rules around exhaust systems poking out the back of a vehicle? If I have some headers sticking out the back (rear engine config) I assume I'll need some kind of shielding as per 2.2(1)b below or does 2.3(9)c(ii) mean it's ok as it is at the back? Is it ok if they stick out past the rear bumper for a short section before tucking back in? Cheers 2.2(1) A low volume vehicle, except for one specified in section 3, must comply with the following general requirements: (a) an ornamental object or fitting must not protrude from a motor vehicle if the object or fitting is likely to injure a person; and (b) a protruding object or fitting that has a functional purpose must, if installed and operated on a motor vehicle that is operated on a road, be such that the risk of the object or fitting causing injury to a person is minimised; 2.3(9) An exhaust system fitted to a low volume vehicle must: (a) be of a good design using materials suitable for the purpose; and (b) terminate in a position where the outer end of the exhaust pipe is not directly underneath or in front of the passenger compartment; and (c) in the case of an external exhaust system which extends beyond the outer longitudinal extremity of the vehicle or the outer sidewall of the tyres: (i) have a radius of no less than 3 mm on any sections facing toward the front of the vehicle; and (ii) have any sections of exposed exhaust contactable from the front of the vehicle or adjacent to points of occupant entry and exit adequately heat-shielded; and (d) be in good condition and free of leaks; and (e) be securely attached to the vehicle, using a mounting system that enables all necessary engine movement without stressing the exhaust system; and (f) along with the body of a low volume vehicle in the areas adjacent to the vehicle’s exhaust system, be sufficiently sealed so as to prevent the entry of any exhaust gases into the passenger compartment, and (g) be designed, constructed, and fitted in such a way that the exhaust system, or components within the exhaust system, cannot be removed, altered, or interfered with, without the use of hand tools.
