  1. Sorry mate won't be round, doesn't sound like too a big job anyway. Please don't put another Lucas Alternator on it. I have a nice Japanese one to donate if you want it.
  2. Wow Bart, just the thought of you turning up at a strangers wedding with a bottle of Jack and a borrowed car.
  3. Why do they have a meeting when the Rangiora car show is on?
  4. Thanks mate. As I remember you had a few other things to sort out last time you were in Christchurch. Next time.
  5. Ha ha, I knew that at the time. Did it anyway.
  6. Some months later. . . Handle bars. Made, finished today. Panther gussets made in 3mm and milled down to 1.8mm because I couldn't buy 1.8mm Chromoly plate. Jigged and welded into place. Mock up picture because I was feeling proud. View from the drivers seat. Also 26x1.75 Gum Wall tyres on their way, Pantha stickers purchased, chrome, paint anodizing, and other 80s spec bling to follow.
  7. First time I've seen this car on matching wheels front to rear. It looks so much better for it. You going to paint it red? I think it will look great.
  8. Yes! AU front. AU engine too. RB40 Mate!
  9. AU Falcon front end swap! Fortefeiro.
  10. Not really, it probably helps, I don't know, just wriggle your hand in there.
  11. Glad it ended up in the garage. The first few photos looked like it was off to pick a part.
  12. Nah mate, I came back after tea, got that nasty key out, sharned with everyone else and went home. Was back to work yesterday and family home last night. Who did help put it back together? Well done them! I'll gladly take the credit/Ginger beer in their absence.
  13. You've got a multi point injected one? Use a long thin screw driver to flick the clip off the distributor coming down from the top and twisting the clip. Take the whole cap and leads out at once, you'll have to wriggle your hand up under the intake to get the coil lead off. It's not fun but you can do it!
  14. Ordered wheel rims today Thomas. I expect to see lowered Zephyr ASAP.
  15. I think that's the best place to start. If it was my car I'd find out what bore size the master cylinder is and what bolt spacing the flange is, then call into BnT or Safe R Brakes and see what factory dual circuit cylinders are available with the same measurements. Nissan? ones have a neat clamped on reservoir that can be swapped to a clamp on hose tail to make a remote reservoir easily to help fit under your intake manifold. You could space the drivers side engine mount up slightly to gain a bit more room too? Some early cars that had a brake booster as an option had two holes on the brake pedal for boosted and non boosted options. Depending on the legality you could drill a new hole slightly up the brake pedal to give a bit more leverage with your un boosted system. My 2cents.
  16. Roll as is. *Fit a dual circuit master cylinder.*
  17. You know it'll happen.
  18. LSD! Awesome upgrade. Next update needs to contain Starlet doughnut pics.
  19. I can't remember now, it's been a few years. Get it to rock on 4 and work it out from there.
  20. Oh yeah the cam locating pins will be on top when the cams are in the right place too. You can see it on the exhaust cam of All Torque's pic.
  21. TDC is marked on the crank. I can't remember where but the key way will point straight up when it's lining up. Both sprockets have E and I line up with the flat face of the head from memory. Inside or outside it doesn't matter. I can't remember if the sprockets are interchangeable on these some of them have both E and I marked on them. They line up with the locating dowels. Make sure the Exhaust cam is lined up to the E locator on the cam sprocket and vice versa for the intake. if in doubt get it to rock on 4 to get you in the ball park.
  22. Tinted windows, burn out stance not evident.
