  12. Hi alex, yeah think the xflow will end up in this now, i want something a bit quicker in the 2door. This van would be one of the rustiest ive seen. Was all very well hidden with silicone and plates welded over top of rust.
  13. some more rusty stuff rusty end of slam panel cut off new piece made welded in, cleaned up and zinc primer made up new slam panel end welded in and cleaned up just need to sort out the curvy front piece all welded back in nice and strong again bit more done on the floor pushed it outside to have a cleanup Back was all upholstered. It had wet and rotting pinkbats under the front carpets which caused the front floors to rust away and in all the cavities in the back. more rusty fun to follow

  17. Hi all. longtime reader thought it's about time i got a project thread goin. Picked up the van as a project for summer turned out to be a bit more work than i was hoping as usual. Passenger side guard is rooted. bloody silicone been used to cover rust cut out and replaced some with an old guard i had out the back which revealed what i was expecting another rust repair to fix. tacked the repair in with the guard on the car to avoid warping. took guard off to see what else needed doing wheels that will get powdercoated shitty/dodgy strut top repair driver side needs new floor wheels powder coated and new tires.thanks to Conrad at action powdercoating and Chris at Firestone. also got the leaves reset 2inches might need to add 1" block still. had a poke and found more rust. started on strut top repair drill out spotwelds to get rid of battery tray bye bye another bit sorted just needs a bit of trimming and the welds ground back
  18. get crc on them for a couple of days before you do it. I just hit mine out with a thin punch or a bolt that is slightly smaller than the hinge hole. you won't be able to hit the top pin very far with a punch as the door gets in the way, i use a long bolt to sit on the pin rest the end of a big screwdriver flat on top of the bolt and hit shaft of the screwdiver to knock the pin down.
  19. Should be a mint afternoon . be interesting to see what the hilux does down the strip.

  23. are you gona space the front wheels out some how. the rear height with wheel and arch combo is mint. so want to do a bubble escort now.
  24. Just been reading classic ford mag and they say that there are 2 different block widths for the crossflow. 681, 691 blocks are narrower than the 711m block. The numbers are the first 3 numbers of the block number. If it is a narrower block it will sitting lower so you may need a longer mount to suit the narrower block. Hope this helps.
