  2. ok so my landlord wants to put my rent up to way more than it's worth so I'm looking to move my 2 shipping containers. Anyone have / know of yard / carpark space being unused? Will need to get electric hookup etc but have check meter currently installed so can keep track of what power I use etc
  3. lotus cream? http://www.flickr.com/photos/chaxiubao/458517732/ laquer's good for a first go, if you get runs or bugs in the paint you can sand it smooth and recoat. I think enamel takes too long to dry for this. I wouldn't spray 2k indoors without the proper equipment, but i'm a pussy
  4. Only time I reused flywheel bolts two of them snapped off while torquing. Ford flywheel bolts that is...
  5. sweet bro. sorry about the tap i don't come here much at the moment. also need twistlocks to hold them together if someone knows where to get em. oh and a staircase. and a door to weld in...
  6. I need someone to pick up a 20' container in petone and bring it to newtown and put it on top of my current container. I want to lift up one end of the container that's there and stick some blocks under to level it so gc driver would be a bonus. Happy to pay going rate.
  7. I might have one if you still need it pm me
  8. If you can get hold of the manifold, su carbs and filterbox from a gt it shouldn't be much hassle at all. I don't think the engine internals were different so jetting should be fine, but I could be wrong. Hardest bit would be balancing the carbs probably.
  9. If it's the original carb, the jets will be right so the only things you can probably tune are float level and idle speed & mixture. It probably could do with a rebuild by now though. The jets could be partly blocked, accel pump might be rooted by now etc
  10. Is a sc14 big enough to fill a 3500? I would have thought it would be spinning too fast and out of it's efficiency range?
  11. jaycar ones might be the go if ur up for making ur own panel http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productResults. ... SUBMIT.y=0

I just had a thought that you could take a normal compression engine and have a solenoid operated supercharger ala Mad Max. On petrol the blower is disabled, but kicks in when you switch over to LPG. No compromise on CR and no worries about running out of gas on a road trip.
  13. March already? fuck what an awesome summer. See you all tomorrow
  14. could be to do with the shocks? fitted new front shock inserts in my brumby yesterday and the height at the front is noticeably higher. should actually be about 8-10mm lower as I turned down the bottoms of the nuts which adjust height.
  15. maybe / feel like i'm coming down with my girlfriend's flu so maybe not
  16. Mike at SAS in the hutt used to rally an RX so he might be able to help you out.
  17. First off, check the points, condenser and timing if you haven't already. Also, distributor cap and rotor. Leads and plugs too but I guess you've done that. These are the most common causes of your type of problem. If that and what they ^ said doesn't fix it, look at fuel issues (blocked filter, carb jets, pump) A haynes manual would be handy if you don't have one already. Not quite sure what you mean about the leak in the spark plug well, maybe worn valve guides/seals?
  18. I think compression ratio depends on the engine design. If you can raise CR and not have problems with pinking, you should get better power and economy. If you have to retard the timing heaps, I think the benefits can be cancelled or reversed.
