  1. Unfortunately not. I'm off to Japan on the 2nd-14th Feb for a snow holiday so I miss two of the best summer event's that I'd want to go to. Next year for sure though. Planing to be at Nats in Featherston with this though.
  2. Yep the 616 rear lights / garnish FTW. surely the 616 coupe would be one of the rarer piston'd mazda's around?
  3. and dave was kept busy with gtr foamers ! haha
  4. Yeh as above, decent turnout seen as though the weather was looking so crap. Ended up needing sunblock and wished I'd worn shorts!
  5. I would not want to be in tents with this weather at all!!! good luck for the rest of the night! Snapped a few pix also; will upload some more in the next few days
  6. ya il be keen depending on dates etc,, my garage ain't worth looking at though so I'd just be a spectator
  7. sweet, lets go with what i suggested above? 10:45 Bruce Pulman Park? Then we can just head the mill rd/redoubt road way to botany?
  8. could do, thought there was more people based around here that'd be heading in. weathers not looking too flash for sunday unfortunatly, hopefully the forecast is wrong!
  9. any papakura-ians wanna meet up before and drive to botany? 10.45am at say Bruce Pulman Park?
  10. Yeh i've had a nosey just through the glass before, didn't see any opening hours or anything listed on doors. It's pretty small so you can see everything from outside. And you're right, there's heaps of spots that you can park 10+ cars along the Maraetai Road, she'll be right etc.
  11. good work man, back to bare steel to see what youre working with. those salt roads over there eh? doesn't take long for the rot to hit
  12. so how about a date mid january? weekend of the sunday 15th?
  13. Ended up using Driveshaft Specialist in East Tamaki, 1 day turn around to lengthen 45mm & balance. Caught him at a quiet time so worked out great for quick service. $500 though. 4 hours labour + materials.
  14. Ya that orange is nice! or the earthy green colour the old mazda's came out with is good
  15. awesome result! Considering what the car looked like at the beginning of the build thread, so many people would be amazed its going again! well deserved brew
  16. bumping this up cos it's kinda related to my question; maybe a stupid question too, but just wanna know before I ring up a driveshaft place tomorrow can a driveshaft be lengthened? I know they normally get shortened then balanced but just curious if they can get lengthened then balanced? good shops in Auckland? (prefer south) and rough cost estimate if anyone has had a d-shaft balanced recently? thanks
