If the seller isn’t the last registered owner can be an issue, but if it’s not reported stolen get the seller to put something on paper then you can go to a justice of peace and get them to sign a declaration of ownership and your sweet. Had to do afew times in the last year, they seem to be getting picky on it

From my experience with rear over fenders if it looks good leave it alone. The shitty jobs I’ve seen here and from Japan are shocking and If it’s really wide it will need new inner and outer guards. I imported a ex show car from a big rx7 company and the rear guards had been cut every 3 cm around the wheel opening and folded up and rivited to the gaurd. Then had fiberglass poured in to fill holes

Old guy that owned checkered flag motors is long gone and was not the most honest guy so I’d say any paperwork was “lost” when they closed

Yeah the Ali starts to froth white stuff out of it then fall apart. Anzor has a sealer that’s slows down the reaction but won’t stop it. -

This is 100% true, my mate jas has had a killer wrx since the early 2000s, ra with built motor, dog box and good shocks was a monster on the road and ran 11.8s all day. Was still on the ra wheels so people thought it was stock -

Hi can you remove head rests from a seat in a 1991 car? I have a customer that wants to remove the headrests so the car has more of a old school look. here are the seats

Do you want to keep texture or smooth out?

I’d just tape the edges with the ali tape stuff
-
I’ve used it for that but kinda peels off where it gets real hot.best I’ve used aeroflow ali embossed stuff over the top and made less noise and stoped my wife’s shoes melting to the floor

Maxpeedingrods how bad? Are they even certable
Early jap nuter replied to Muncie's topic in Tech Talk
The rear springs were half the weight or the standard springs, some of the shocks had leaked in box and the welds looked like shit. One of the boss’s got a set for his kids civic and broke the springs within a week -

When I was dealing with ordering from China for work they would paint things any colour you wanted and print anything you wanted on them even on small orders. Got afew full lift kits for utes for free to try in a container once and I just put them in the scrap pile -
SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS FOR VIVA CONVERSION
Early jap nuter replied to La Viva 71's topic in Project Discussion
You really need to work out what you want to spend and what can you do yourself. There’s lots of little things you don’t think of at the time but end up costing if you carnt do it yourself -
Years ago when I was importing cars the warrants were issued at the compliance place and if they weren’t registered within a certain time they de reged and had to go back to compliance, think it was a year not sure but that was back 2008ish

Yeah when I was fitting things to new utes afew years ago I brought this up in a meeting with big Auckland dealers and the response was not our problem when warranty runs out. They never sold the parts to you they sold you a truck and u had the parts fitted but as a service to you as a customer we will get them fitted before pick up. Toyota was the only one that wouldn’t let curtain products fitted
