Couldn't you get an old couch for sweet f a and get the springs etc outta that? -
You could still use atf. And what about one of those exhaust airbag jacks? I've seen trailers use those for tipping.

Option A Its called a pushrod btw And set it up with a couple mm freeplay/freeboard between end of pushrod and booster

Nissan Civilian buses had TD42s, so a Civilian gearbox would do the trick The remote might need to be changed though, as its set up for linkage/cable shift

Sounds like the carb needs a clean Was it idling ok when you left it? or lumpy and low idle?

Strange it started before and not now... Have you remembered to connect the earths to the engine, and checked they have good clean contact area And the positive as well to the starter for that matter

Can you turn it over by hand? And one would assume the battery is charged

Checked or replaced? Run it in the dark and see if you can see one of the HT leads "glowing" in one spot if it has a break under the insulation
