  1. Righto. Gates open at 8am. I don't think we'll need to be there that early. Meet up at the weigh station. What time do ya reckon?
  2. Any Welly OSers keen to get up bright and early sunday morning and convoy up?
  3. Take the steering column plastic shroud off and look on the back of the ignition barrel. You will see the ignition switch. Should be held on with one screw. Then you can turn it without using the key. You will still need to remove the ignition barrel to eliminate the steering lock.
  4. This may be of interest to all you rusty junk hoarders. It's happening next sunday.
  5. DON'T DO IT! The LHD is 50% of what makes this little car hugely bad ass.
  6. Just re-read your question. If the light is not coming on pull out the speedo cluster and replace the bulb.
  7. The airbag uses a 'clock spring' You can check the codes by bridging the pins on the blue plug under the glove box. Google should show you what to do.
  8. sounds like alternator to me
  9. I'm not too stressed about it really. The whip is really there for the steez.
  10. Yeah 26mhz. I was worried the whip would be no good because it was sitting in the last guys rain gutter for 10 years. I had a bit of trouble hearing leebo but I think thats cuz his cb is old stz. I just googled shooting skip. Thats nutzo.
  11. Yeah it works awesome. I scored a 6 foot whip from an old dude. It has a gutter mount that folds down, so makes it great for getting in the garage. It was super handy at Hawkes Boes for convoying and 'your mum' jokes.

    Thermostats

It is posible you have a air pocket under the themostat. Is there a heater hose or similar higher than the thermostat to let the air out as you put the coolant in? Otherwise try taking out the thermostat, fill to thermostat level, install thermostat, fill to top. Then just let it idle with cap off till no more bubbles come to the top
  13. Some more stolen Hawkes Boes pics. This time from Beaver who was riding along in the wag.
  14. I'd imagine it will when the motor goes back in.

  17. Well the mighty Sportwagon made it to Hawkes Boes and back. It was great to have some company on the road trip. Cheers to Steelies, Beaver, and their lady fiends for helping slam the wag with their gear. The rear bump stops and exhaust got a good work out.
  18. I got them off trade me. Cost about $80 IIRC. I have seen the spider ones on there for about $250.
  19. This. So many monkeys ring up and say "got a job bro?" I think it is just so they can tell their Mum they looked for a job.
  20. Can you move / adjust the level sensors at each corner?
  21. That sounds like a plan. I guestermate the good ship buick will be in woodville around 10:30 - 11:00
