  3. sorry cant make it i'm in waikanae been lost already
  4. I'm guessing your refferring to the BMC a series engines? If so then my info is only based off minis so bear with me an 1100 engine should have the prefix 10 on the engine number =short for 1098 a 1300/1275 should have the prefix 12 the distance between rocker cover and thermostat housing will be bigger on the 1300 compared to the 1100 the area around that on the 1300 should also be flat hope this helps like i said this is what I know from minis so whether that would differenciate from other BMC models I dont know cheers
  5. I might be able to come along myself (if thats all good with you guys) im heading up to wellington some time this month hopefully it will fit in with this

  9. would love to know how exactly it was done myself! would make the prospect of 4aging a road mini a bit simpler in the sense of gearbox subframe etc etc
  10. found this pic of a 4age conversion race mini done years ago on the ausmini forums. Apparantly the owner replaced the drop gears with a chain setup! I thought this would be the appropriate thread to share it

  18. ok i've read this whole thread! So... lets see if i got this right Hypothetically if I was to fit a bigger pipe to my 1275GT minge. would it make much of a difference? Its currently runs a 1 3/4" pipe if I made a 2" system with a reso after the collector and a free flow muffler at the back i would see a power gain? aw heck could I use a 2.5" pipe system?
  19. carb back together, tappets adjusted, ignition timing set and we were away again! Still rattles like a Motherfucker. rocker shaft or rockers might be flogged! Ideas welcome! Still cant get that weber to run sweet think i'm going to remove it and fit an SU, anyone got one? drivers side guard rubs on full lock still need to inspect that ( suspension) passenger side is sweet! here is a pic dump thats the best door panel gap ive ever seen on a minge cheers for lookin'
  20. If you had been reading the spam threads of recent you would of seen that I bought a mini. so... pics say more than my drivel!!! This arrived on my driveway last friday ( i'm a Dairy farmer so i transport my new purchases/aint got time to go pickin up/ I'm a Wanker) Didnt think it would be so mint it has NO RUST.. Metallic Purple as you can see so ive Dubbed it "The Joker" Lots of aftermarket gooodies Previous owner was a member of the Otago mini Owners club so some of you dunners people may actually know this car. Engine: 1275 engine rebuilt 30 000ks ago\ full exhaust system topped by a weber 28/36 DCD running rich as a bitch now has blocked jets as it doesnt run a fuel filter hence why the carb is apart disc brakes: yes would like to fit some 10's under it at some stage no major plans just yet bar drive and enjoy some oldschool ownership motoring A SERIES ARMY A FUCKEN' SERIES WAT!
