anglia4 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Hey team, I'd like to order a rebuild kit for this 4bbl, but I'm not sure what it is. Its on a 390FE on a 67 Galaxie, but the VIN decodes to a 2V engine, which would have had a 2bbl carb, so its not original. Any ideas? Or know where some identifying numbers might be on it? Quote
Unclejake Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 It's a very, very long time since I looked at one... but it immediately looked like an Edlebrock. Google will probably prove that wrong though Quote
Nominal Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Looks like a Holley vacuum secondary, maybe a 750, to me, 2 1 Quote
Unclejake Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Nominal is right. It's Holley. There's a few on eBay. Search vintange Holley for a few more photos 1 1 Quote
Unclejake Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Not exactly the same I know, but the four flutes on the casting closest to the bottom of the photo and the single tube just above that casting says Holley... and not Edelbrock 1 Quote

Lord Gruntfuttock Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Think that's same as mine. 600 vac sec Holley. Number looks familiar. Lots of parts/kits available. Think they have fixed secondaries via metering plate? but you can get a jet conversion. Also offer variable vacuum secondary springs so you can tune when they come in. I put a quick change diaphragm adapter on so was easy to play with. Sort of jealous. Looks fun... Quote
440bbm Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 yep that is a 600cfm as already mentioned. 1850-4 the last 4 numbers 2612 are the date code of manufacture, its a cluster to work that one out LOL. but a great carb, parts are a plenty. the orings for the tube that go between bowls are a bit tricky so dont pull apart till you have a kit or prepared to wait, unless you know they arent old and hard. 1 Quote
