Sambo
Hello Southerners! My work is based in Auckland, but has a few construction sites around Christchurch too. We're looking at buying 1 or 2 shipping containers for use as storage on those sites. These will also need to be repainted, which may be done by a supplier or organised by us. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to buy and/or paint a 20ft container in Chch? Thanks, Sam
smokin'joe
Heartland containers in Timaru have a crew that customise and paint their boxes.

Get it done
Are you based close to local transport or rail connections, just thinking it might be cheaper to get a container down south and bought up to Wellington
smokin'joe
just a wee problem with the rail connections down these parts. coastal freighting would be the go, as already at LPC?

Nominal
Surely you could arrange to leave one on a rail siding somewhere?

KKtrips
Someone down the road from me has a 20ft container outside their house and it has been there for several weeks if not months so far. I wonder how long I could get away with that for. It's on the grass berm right to the edge of the footpath and has about 2ish foot encroaching onto the road (much less than the width of a car anyway)
