flyingbrick
OK so the WB has reflectors that aren't too shiny I have a few options. -NOS reflectors to suit WB approx $250 -NOS or good second hand JB camira OR XE Falcon reflectors as they both fit and use the same internal clips. Unfortunately they have a hole for he park lamp but YOLO (duct tape) -replating or chroming my existing lenses at professional platers -the DIY approach, silver polish, silver electricity-less replating solutions (dunno if that's right for this) and replating the surface by hand using adhesive and silver leaf (unsure of ability to handle high heat.. I wouldn't expect much) What have others done/what would they do or not do again?
SOHC
The ones in my Volvo were rusty as hell and I failed the WOF, I painted them with spray chrome about 4 years ago and they have been sweet ever since.
flyingbrick
The thing is.. I have nice clear lenses.. That spray paint is going to look like balls if you were to take a close look.
AllTorque
I wouldn't think chrome out of a spray can would reflect enough light. What ever solution you decide, chuck in some headlight relays too. Guaranteed improvement.
flyingbrick
Yes Iv heard that! A whole rewire of the front loom is in order- my sparky buddy vk327 is hopefully going to sort that out for me (if I don't get to it first.. He's dam busy)

Ned
Cut up beer cans glues to the inside is ace. Also good if you need to change your beam pattern by wrapping some along the top and cutting material away until you have the desired beam
Threeonthetree
Has Chris told you that the solution is to convert to an HQ front yet? Sealed beams. But in all seriousness, stay in touch with Zebradude and if a Camira or XE comes in I can check their reflectors.

Frosty
Got a set re-silvered by the guys in Palmerston North, they did an awesome job. I was $360 inc GST and shipping. Look them a while to get to our job sorted so it's not a fast option.
Joe Palmer
Hi, I have an American Motorhome one headlight has been deemed no good for a COF, The whole unit is made from a plastic type compound & it's lost its reflective ability, is there any way this can be recoated ?, these lights are also used in a 1986-90 Saab 9000, seems like they are now obsolete. There's some pretty good chrome/reflective hydrodipping available now which would in my opinion be a better option being protected inside the lamp
flyingbrick
Wow 250 for nos reflectors seems like a bargain now. Maybe inflation? Or I'm not as broke as I was?
