kiwi808
Welcome to the FC3S Oldschool owners club! What are your plans for your build? Looks like a super tidy FC and hard to find in black. If you have the factory radio and your not using it.... SELL IT TO MEEEEEEEE!
88fc3s
It didn't come with a radio sorry mate! Plans were a tidy street track car. I'll post up updates pretty rapidly over the next week

Shandangles
looks good man, butttttt. i always thought the front legs of the cage could only have 2 bends??
88fc3s
Yeah shandangles that's correct as far as I'm aware as well but cause its only slight bends they let you get away with it. I've done two cages now both this way that have passed homologation

kiwi808
Good god. I always knew that FC wiring was a nightmare but I never ever imagined it was that horrendous!
88fc3s
Cheers sparkle and ragtop. Yeah kiwi808 the wiring was a nightmare honestly after I removed all that I'm suprised it all actually still works! Been running the car a couple months now with no electical issues
peteretep
I thought there were some funny rules about running the roll cage up to the front strut towers in that you couldnt do it any more as it stiffens the car and is not related to safety, is that right? Rookie
I think this was built before the rules changed?
88fc3s
I'm actually not sure it was built a while ago now probably a year. I don't see why they wouldn't allow it. It makes the car handle better and I'm sure it wouldn't make it any less safe. I know if you're running a street car that had or has factory airbag you have to go through to the front towers to retain it for street use as its what had to be done in my mates fd3s
Rookie
They don't allow it now because people were using the roll cage as the chassis and not a safety device.
88fc3s
Oh that's good to know. Do you know we're I can find the information on the rule change? Just that a good friend of mine might want to know that
