danger
Hey, fuckers. What's a good cost effective upgrade for a ke70 sedan diff? Want discs and needs to handle ported rotary power. CBF doing too much work though. Ideas?
kseries.rookie
What is your budget, or at least a ball park figure
danger
Fuck all really, I dont wanna spend money on it. Was wondering if a TT corona one would bolt in or something
kseries.rookie
That was going to be my suggestion, although I believe they are a little wider, so will give you dat mad hellafrush look yo

Fat Dan
e series liteace diff is easeist to throw in a k series from my understanding,(no need to shorten) no lsd option for e series at all though. can be scored easily from PAP as they are in a variety of common toyotas (estimas some coronas as well i believe) as far as discs go, probs need to go custom or maybe some of the high spec estimas have discs? no real luck with bolt in upgrades unfortunately
danger
Thanks Fat Dan.
beachlander
Im going f series out of an estima. Can come in drum and disc, sort of easy to find LSD heads as well at PAP. Only thing is you need to shorten them if you want to run wide wheels. Or can leave as is, i think my one is 25mm longer on either side. Just need to sort out your mounts. kseries.rookie
*interested in this f series conversion* When you say "sort your mounts" what do you mean by that?
beachlander
Well since i have leaf springs, ive had to cut all the diff mounts off the housing and need to weld some new ones on to suit the leafs.
Truenotch
The TT Corona diff mounts are further apart, so they won't bolt in.
kseries.rookie
Beachlander; What driveshaft would you be using?
Rookie
I would use a nissan h190 diff.

beachlander
Need to cut my one up for the t50 and steal the back half of an estima diff
danger
Its going in the CBF'd basket. Might just get some alloy spacers that look like disc brakes and call it a day
kpr
just bolt in ae86 diff? they will handle a bit of power long as you dont dial in a shitload of grip + drag launches.
danger
I'm assuming AE86 diffs sell for AE86 money
kpr
yup pretty much. money vs time. or ae86 vs hilux. may as well go hilux if going to go to the effort of cutting and welding mounts. they are out there the right length. which is the biggest drama imo, maybe overkill. but burnouts all day, it wont break. but by the time you do all that^ ae86 looks like good option
Dell'orto
Look for TE71 diffs, identical to AE86 but don't have the 86 tax. Old TT1x Coronas run a drum T series diff, a little bit wider than U diffs but shouldn't make too much difference - I assume yours runs spacers?
