Ogre Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Yeah i have King superlows in the front, cut 20mm off the bump stop, havnt spaced the shock tower but i will fairly soon as well as fitting some shorter body shocks. Rides pretty damn well now tho. Quote
Ogre Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 16" AU centres in 17" bands on an XF. Hows that work? Quote
Truenotch Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Some 17" wheels step down smaller than others, so obviously the falcon 16" and the 17" band have a similar ID in the centre. I had a set of 14" 2 piece centres that were a perfect fit into 15" ag bands. Quote
The Bronze Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 How have I not seen this was snapped up by an oldschooler before? I love that car, supreme colour and interior, perfect daily. Rumour has it chrome door handles break less; might try it when the latest ones shit out. Done 2 on my drivers door in 2 years. Quote
DodgySam Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Good morning mr Ogre. Thought I saw this in vegas the other day while dumping my crap at recycling centre...it wasnt you however as the one I saw was red. Otherwise the same...same model and wheels etc and had a large slightly dubious looking character driving it while glaring at me. 1 Quote

Beaver Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 re: shock towers, wouldnt shorter shocks have achieved the same thing? Or does somehow an external bump stock come up inside the tube? Quote
Ogre Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 ^Yes a shorter shock would achieve less down stroke, hence keeping the springs captive, but the bump stops are on the shock too, so wouldnt increase the upwards travel if you get what i mean. Doing this means i get the best of both worlds with just normal shocks. I dont even think the "short shocks" for the rear of these even have a shorter body anyway. Just less stroke. Quote
