as the f series diff  is off set you should see the tail shaft go straight from the box and then change direction to the diff .

from gear box to center carrier its nearly straight and falls away to the diff after this

std trailing arms and diff is level

Your exhaust pipe is bigger than your prop. Now I have exhaust pipe envy.

Back on subject.. Protractors for measuring angles.i bought this from bunnings.. The top one.. $52

I'm taking mine back unused to bunnings and getting the much smaller cheaper above.

i used a short magnetic based spirit level to ensure the engine and diff were on the same angle (at a different height) if that makes sense.. I just stringlined 90 degrees to the spirit level measured the distance then used a bit of 5th form maths /busted out the scientific calculator /smartphone to reveal ~1.5 degrees.

NB this was for the mazda with IRS.

This is what i did also ^   but because i didn't want to do maths.. level on crank pulley.  jack front/rear of car till bubble is in the middle. then put the level on the  pinion flange. adjust diff till its in the middle.

Also, i'm jealous of everyone, that has enough tunnel room to get angles correct. without resorting to the angle grinder

I like the idea of a digital toy- will be handy for man other things. But above suggestions appeal to my scottishness.

For now I will wrap my Bunnings angle finder in cling film so it doesn't get dirty, use it to check things, take it back to Bunnings, refund and buy a cheaper digital thingee for future.
