mjrstar
Ok, Bit if a long shot but.... I'm looking to do a 4x114 conversion on the front of the mazda which has a 28mm stub. I am looking for a replacement hub from somethign else which is 4x114 and runs on a 28mm shaft. it looks like 89-90 mirage MIGHT be a goer, I had a browse at PAP the other day and though Primera rear hubs might hve been the go but alas they are a 30mm stub and a 1mm adaptor sleeve seems a little uncool.. At this stage the rear should come together reasonably easy.. more on that later So yeah no point in suggesting i redrill the current hubs as the 4x100 is hanging out right near the edge of the hub, and adaptor / spacers are not my style.. If you have: some spare 4x114 non driven hubs handy can you whip some verniers over in inner bearing bore, maybe cressida or sigma or something else from a RWD front hub or rear from a FWD would do the trick, or if you have replaced bearing on your 4x114 equipped car and they were 28mm let me know!! In the mean time i'll continue to trawl PAP to find a suitable donor. Cheers Matt

durty
series 3 is 4x114.3 probably not at pick a part, would be stripped to nothing in 5 minutes flat
Evan
Just went out to the garage and measured my series 3 rx7 ones. 28mm, is that what your after? your welcome to have a look at the hubs if you want, I wont have a use for them once I swap my subframe, But I duno when/how long until that happens. ps. the disc and hub are one piece, disc is 250 odd mm by 22mm
fuel
I'm sure the rotor bolts to the hub via 4 bolts just like most other 80s RWD stz and even the 88-92 Mirage.
Evan
Na all first gen rx-7 stuff is cast as one unit. Mazda do things differently.

Valiant
S13 or S14? You could call Saeco bearings, I think they list the bearing sizes their wheelbearings.

fuel
^^ yeah that sucks, EA-EL Coons do the same too. Would make for expensive rotor replacements I would say!
mjrstar
Cheers to evan i now know that the rx is a no go. The spindle is way too short. Need to find a 4g61 powered disc braked cyborg.
drftnmaz
i haven't got any veriners here, but ke70 looks about 28mm, will try to find my verniers for proper measuring
mjrstar
The ke us likely to need a long spindle. I only have 40 mm of bearing length, let me know though if you do get them measured up.
drftnmaz
they are 28mm by ~15mm wide on the inner bearing and 17mm by 15mm wide on the front bearing, and about 70mm from outer edge to edge, i've only got the stub sitting here atm
mjrstar
I'd say that the ke70 hub could well be a good replacement option for s3 rx7... ha
drftnmaz
measured up some s14 stubs, ~35mmx55mm, you could build a sleeve? and s13 is slightly smaller but haven't got any kicking around
mjrstar
Cheers Todd, There are a few options out there which would work with a sleeve, I'll exhaust the non sleeved option first though i think to try and keep costs down..
