durty
Chances are they will crash into the front or back. Not the wheels

ryanfels
Something ant right man, your gearbox shouldnt be that far forward. Is there another set of holes further forward on the engine block for your engine mounts to bolt to? That could explain the sway bar problem to
Mitch.W
Ill have a look man and check it out. I thought the motor sat quite far forward. Like the fan is about 20mm away from the radiatior support.

J-Calico
Deff not, that'll probably sort driveshaft length out to.. Plus sway bar clearance... Agree with Ryan (& with what he said ages ago about changing the water pump) Old one will likely be pretty shagged to, worth doing cambelt, water pump, and probably crank & camshaft seals, tensioner etc while motor is out. Be gay if any of it failed soon after and it's a reasonably old engine/been sitting a long time. Might be pricey-ish but well deserved for the old 1G-GTE, she's no spring chicken now. Think of it as maintainence/engine birthday 8 birds one stone and no more plastic bag!! Oh no, cut hole already to!
Mitch.W
yeah i had a look at everything and thats as far back as the motor will sit without cutting up the x member and welding the mounts further back, i got a new water pump didnt think it was worthy of posting haha. shits just going wrong everywhere haha, its slowly heading towards drift hack as i cbf making stuff tidy anymore haha

Mitch.W
yeah there was. hard to tel there acturly engine mount holes with other stuff in th way/in them haha. and i had to file out the holes in the mounts for them to fit were about 2mm out on one of them
Mitch.W
just cant get the nut on now as the oil pickup? for turbos? mabe? is in the way right in the middle of the mount...
LWL1FE
remove the mount bracket and tighten the nut then reinstall bracket. Fan bake at 150 for ten minutes and you'll be done

Brennan
Who are you getting to lengthen the driveshaft? You could make up a spacer to go between the diff and the driveshaft?? It's coming along nicely.
